But I can say it's going to be awesome, and that people have probably seen more gameplay than they realize (pretty common complaint atm). :)

Exactly. People don't realise that a lot of the time, EA buying a company means they get the funding to finish w/e game they were working on
sure SimCity was great in the 2000, but in reality there is no more appeal for it (much like if something like pacman was remade now)
Yes this is true. The truth is EA itself does not exert that much creative control over the games they help publish (not develop)
