If you work 40+ hours a week working in a restaurant or any food service roll you deserve a living wage. For how much people go out and get food it must be pretty damn important and important work gets paid right? If that makes me some kind of naive radical hippie, so be it. I'd rather err on the side of that sentiment than think people flipping burgers isn't worth anything.

The general use of Czechia instead of Czech Republic is pretty new.
Gen X is the "both sides" generation but they always seem to defer to the side that is "just asking questions" about the effectiveness of vaccines and "challenge" the science about climate change. They really liked to use the word "gay" to mean something bad or off putting. I know I'm generalizing but, c'mon, they critically thought about things about as much as any other generation. Man, I'm just getting real bitter about stuff now :(
That's a hollow threat, they are not "shelving" anything. They will keep working on vaccines for themselves and just not make any of their research, progress, and/or results available to the public if they can't make a profit.

For millennials and older, the sentiment was that PR did not ultimately wish to become a full on state. That sentiment started moving towards statehood recently, but I think many 30+ year olds in the US still have that residual knowledge of the past position. I am all for PR statehood, it is certainly big enough in all the metrics that matter to warrant full statehood.

Just because you didn't hear about it doesn't mean there wasn't criticism of ICE under each administration since it's creation. There is a difference now, I believe, in how ICE is being used and deployed against blue American cities. The US would still have border patrol/border security, customs, and a court process to look at asylums and deport people if necessary, but ICE 100% could be abolished. It isn't needed, just wanted by Trump's hardcore supporters
