Don't forget they're also the people who will lose their fucking shit if they have to wait 5 minutes at the drive thru because there aren't enough employees on shift to flip the burgs.

Where I live they say we dont have enough viable people and they recruit people from poor countries. Its not about viablity, its about greed! You dont have to pay people from poor country as much as native citizen. They dont want to pay them, its that simple.

If you work 40+ hours a week working in a restaurant or any food service roll you deserve a living wage. For how much people go out and get food it must be pretty damn important and important work gets paid right? If that makes me some kind of naive radical hippie, so be it. I'd rather err on the side of that sentiment than think people flipping burgers isn't worth anything.

Forget 40 hours. Progress was supposed to lessen the time spent on labor. We should be down to 25 hour workweeks or less. And we should have liveable salaries, healthcare not tied to our jobs, and affordable homes. This needs to happen!

Unless they refuse to pay you a living wage to do so; that's VERY shameful.

I guess nobody ever wanted to work for capitalists. We just do because there is no other choice.

Boomers do not understand reality. Historically foxglove is the antidote for people who pull the ladder up behind them.

A meme generator. You take a meme template, then fill in the text.

Thing is, AI isn't taking over burger flipping.

.......you know the same individual behind grok, has a $1 trillion dollar incentive to produce the robotic means to make this a reality, yes? The same individual who lead doge, took copies of just about every government database available to him during that time, has both the AI infrastructure AND manufacturing infrastructure to build the labor he needs for a future HE envisions where money is meaningless........and everyone's agreed thats okay......because if you have the means, youve invested.

I remember a friend showing me a study (since lost to time) showing that in Canada, 40 percent of fast food workers were middle aged white women with post secondary degrees.
