Hey man, or girl-man. You're on the right side. I bet it sucks to be lumped in with people you don't agree with (as a straight, white guy there's lots of hate coming our way, and I GET IT. It's deserved by the people who deserve it. But us normal people who happen to fit a profile, just gotta glide). I don't take it personally, I know there's lots of pent-up legitimate criticism. Sucks to be us, sucks a lot worse to be certain other minorities.
A good friend of mine is an Air Canada Jazz pilot. Not crj900, but Dash 8-400. Could've been him. He flies from Montreal to LaGuardia sometimes, though not often. Politics aside, this is a really fucked up incident. Politics included I'll wait for ntsb et al, but this seems like a too few ATC issue on the face of it. And to be clear, i don't blame the atc agent, i blame the system that allows 2 people to run ATC for an entire airport.
Tbf i think they'd allow a non white person to fly out of the country, kind of best case scenario for a racist shithead.

Nothing. Had a lovely time camping in upstate NY. Since then the US has become a place where I don't feel safe going. And I'm a straight, white male in my early 40s, who looks it. I can't imagine how it is for literally any other slice of humanity.
Not totally related, but you can remove the part of a youtube shorts link that (i think) says "short" and replace it with "watch" and it will work as a "normal" youtube video, meaning you have all the options for speed, cc, quality, etc that don't exist in yt shorts. This is useful for me in the context of guitar videos. Copy and then paste with "watch" instead of "short" and you can slow down and watch the lad/lass play the part at human speed in order to learn it, if ye'd like.
Can you imagine the absolute NERVE of a non-american being at a international airport? Where's my fainting couch?.........

Also it's super important that it's on film, from multiple angles. Obviously I'd prefer ICE sublimated out of existence, but if people understandably only feel safe enough to film the atrocities, please at least continue to film the atrocities.
I'm a canadian who works for an American company (actually a canadian company, but the US division, which is like 75% of the income of the 10+ division company) and my bosses are always trying to get me to travel to the US for different things. Not gonna happen any time in the next 5 years, minimum. I went back in the 2010s, and I've been for vacations a few times since then and many times before, but i think the last time was camping in like...2013 maybe?

I've seen about 21 minutes of walker texas ranger, and it was basically Power Rangers. An absolute joke of a show to ego-stroke a washed-up loser. Partook in all the chuck Norris jokes back in the day. I feel like maddox was a big part of this, though i may be intersecting memories at this point...
