In my experience LinkedIn is about as useful as a condom in a lesbian's purse.

I wouldn't say men have less barriers, but rather different ones.

The only person attacking anyone here is you. You attacked the person, I attacked the argument. And I understand the point it was making. I also understand it was a valid point made in a way that caused the message to be lost to most. It was presented as an attack on men and not an explanation. Hence the fear mongering part of my comment. And reactions like yours to criticism are why it wasn't taken seriously.

I'm not the one who downvoted you.

Shove that women choosing the bear shit. If a woman was in the street and actually saw a bear in one direction and a man in the other she'll go to the guy every time expecting him to help her. Women have valid concerns about men, but that was hyperbolic fear mongering. And you're right, the patient was a piece of shit. But that doesn't mean the doctors were. They were asking her if she would not demanding that she do it.

Yeah because it fits your ideal of "in a perfect world everyone would know the exact right thing to do for each individual without asking. Just perfect instincts. As opposed to this one where you're considering even asking someone if they'll have a conversation with a dying man to save his life is considered oppression. And don't act like only men pull this shit.

I think in the era this occurred they would begin negotiations with the man to take her as a wife immediately. Mental health wasn't something they knew even existed.

So even asking for affirmative consent or willingness is a problem now? Respect her choice if she says no, but asking first is not something that should be demonized. Especially since in this case at no point did it say SHE had a problem with it. The decision was made for her by men without her input. So according to this story as presented, the doctors weren't removing her agency, the sages were.

It's ok to go crazy. What's important is to make sure you come back. I've lived with high clinical depression my whole life. I just remind myself when I'm feeling odd it's because of my God I can't even.

That's not true. She's been in business for the last 20 years and hasn't missed a day of work yet.

Science and religion are not diametrically opposed. Galileo believed science enabled us to understand what God had made, which enhanced our ability to appreciate iIt.more. The Catholic church acknowledges creationism doesn't mean evolution is wrong. Stop judging groups of people by their loudest idiots.

Remember the girlfriend was just the dead guys girlfriend and not his wife. She's still obsessed with him and can't let go. Why should the new guy put up with any of this? She needs massive therapy because what she's doing is insanely abusive and sick.

Not 2 ft. Roland is 5'11" so he's about 9 inches taller than Kevin Hart.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He's an inch shorter than the actress playing Tiny Tina.

Kevin Hart is playing Roland. He is also an inch shorter than the actress playing TINY Tina. Roland was also never comic relief. Not once.

Trans women in sports absolutely was and is an actual issue.. Some bigots used it for their own bullshit, but it's a true legitimate concern that deserves a proper examination and discussion without hatred against trans people or accusations of transphobia against everyone who has a problem with it.

Oh I do. But that doesn't mean they wouldn't be wrong to write it into the sorce material. Write your own fanfiction instead of demanding the show writers write it for you.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I dont mind when people do that. Fan fiction has always existed. But it shouldn't be done to the source material without extreme consideration and care. Wednesday and Enid are barely at the point where they can tolerate each other, much less have romantic attraction. If it were to be forced into season 2 it would be pandering and make no actual sense. They would have to either ignore entirely the behaviors of season 1, or devote an inordinate amount of season 2 to showing the development.

I dont have no issue with introducing a major recurring character who is gay, bi, or any other part of LGBTQ. I would even as there was no representation on the show.welcome it.. My objection is to rewriting characters to be something they were clearly not intended to be. They weren't roommates by choice. But because its a boarding school and they were assigned rooms, not out of a desire to be friends. It would lead to lazy writing at a minimum.
