I got lucky. Got cancer in a state that immediately qualifies you for Medicaid if it is a life changing medical trauma and you are not offered health insurance through your job. It cost over 300k *just to diagnose me.* I couldnt see any costs after that, but I had to stay a week in the hospital with a 24 hour drip feed of chemo attached. I did that 6 times and had a spinal injection of chemo during one stay. Im pretty sure im halfway to being the 6 million dollar man. Didn't pay a dime.
