Japan is a disappointment in this regard. A very secular nation with not many christians, and a long history of same sex relationships on the side being the norm, is very anti gay marriage and their new right wing PM is known for opposing it.
But they want marriage, not a sanitized term to make hateful people happy.
Lots of rights and more stability if raising kids.
They try and warp science to do so.
Marriage involves a ton of legal rights, and its very hard to avoid. And ideal world fallacy isn't much of an argument basis.
Sadly I've met one bigoted/moron atheist who said gay marriage should be banned because having kids is the point of marriage. Yes they opposed childfree straight marriage too. (I'm also an atheist btw)
Still don't see any actual examples.. And just for the record i hated every type of vegan cheese i tried for about a year.
