3) The Amazing Spider-Man 2

We've always known that Spider-Man's most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone).

7) Into the Woods

A modern twist on several of the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella (Anna Kendrick), Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Jack and the Beanstalk (Daniel Huttlestone), and Rapunzel (MacKenzie Mauzy)-all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife.

Tried to watch "Under the Skin" yesterday. Terrible, boring movie. 10/10 would not recommend

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Under the Skin was terrible though...

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Under the skin was terrible in my opinion. Be prepared loose hours of your life. But, after all, that's just like, my opinion man.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Downvoted as soon as I saw Amazing Spider-Man 2.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Give Jake Gyllenhaal all the Oscars. He was fantastic in Nightcrawler and excellent playing 2 characters in Enemy.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I love The Raid series! So action-packed

11 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 0

I'm certain they're actually fighting and murdering eachother.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Under the Skin was just awful. Call me a philistine, but I say it was shite

11 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 4

I liked the book and hearing the film was being made interested me, but from the trailer alone I could see it was a travesty.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Under the Skin sucked hard.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Under the skin was awful and didn't make any sense unless you read the book.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Amazing spiderman 2 is just awful...

11 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 5

Edge of Tomorrow anyone?

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's in the dude's first list.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Under the skin. No.

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Under the skin was pretty bad... It's probably on the list due to the nude scene with Scarlett Jo.

11 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

I see these lists have already changed to 'movies that exist'

11 years ago | Likes 115 Dislikes 4

Nightcrawler sucked. It was written well, the acting was phenomenal, and the cinematography and production were fantastic. But it sucked.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

there were a lot better movies this year

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The second I saw Spiderman 2 on the list I knew this series was headed downhill.

11 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

I liked it. The more I think about it I really like the new ones more than the Raimi ones.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I agree. Yeah, it was jumbled and made some mistakes, but when it was good, it shined like a fucking star.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Snowpiercer makes little sense. A perpetual motion engine probably would solve global warming on its own.

11 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 7

The movie is shit, but never thought of that. Makes it even more stupid..

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I've not even watched it, just noticed that in the description. Thanks for the heads up.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

under the skin was absolutely rubbish!

11 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 6

As a wtf movie though it's hard to beat though, and I love an oddity!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah what the F did I just watch there. Could have been good, maybe. Just wasn't. The movie never started. WHUT

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

There was never any plot or point. There were complications that just disappeared randomly. There was nothing to it other than bullshit.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Understatement. 2 hours of ominous tones and awkward scenes.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thought so too. 2 hours of artsy fartsy quasi-philosophical self discovery vomit, nicely wrapped in ScarJo's boobies.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

yeah but fully nude ScarJo is a nice tough

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Snowpiercer sounds like a bad B movie and Spider-Man had some severe pacing issues. We can do better.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Snowpiercer did suck though.

11 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 20

I loved it so i guess opinions are divided.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It was just terrible....

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 5

This was my first thought. I had hopes but god damn it was a pile of trash. Night crawler blew me away though (giggity)

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

Eh, coulda been better. Kinda mind fucky though

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

I totally agree

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You have no ideea what you're talking about. Snowpiercer was an amazing film. An amazing alternative to the shitstorm that is Hunger Games

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You have no ideea what you're talking about. Snowpiercer was an amazing film. An amazing alternative to the shitstorm that is Hunger Games

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I didn't say Hunger Games was good. It was sure better than Snowpiercer though.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X05TDsoSg2Y People can't see how brilliant this movie.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Gonna have to strongly disagree with Snowpeircer. Fucking hated it.

11 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 11

Agreed, actually stopped midway through..

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

me too, had great potential to become a great sci fi/dystopic movie but was just lame .

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Worst fucking movie i've ever seen

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 5

Burn After Reading

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You need to see more bad movies, then.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

Looks like everyone's a movie expert today.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I find myself in the bad comments for saying there are movies worse than Snowpiercer. That's some hate for a movie right there...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The thing is both your comments are wrong.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Nightcrawler was so fucking amazing

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Jake Gyllenhaal played the role so well.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He's really on a roll. Prisoners and End of Watch were also fantastic.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One of the best movies of the year. So well done.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

100% agree. A better soundtrack was the only thing that movie was missing.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Didn't get it at 1st, but read this after & it all clicked. The soundtrack wasn't to create a tone. The music was how Jake felt at the time.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I suppose so. I need to watch it again. Either way he deserves an oscar nod. That movie was too cool to get a nod though.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hope it does, I think he deserves that. The movie too but I'm less hopeful about that.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think it's important to mention that Into The Woods is a Sondheim play and should no way have been affiliated with Disney.

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Disney owns so much shit by now, I'm just never surprised when it happens any more.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Mostly because way more people die in the musical than the film.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

And while I much prefer the original, I was AMAZED at how many songs they got in. Second Act was a downward spiral tho.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes. I was Jack's Mother earlier this year and am cringing at the PG rating without even having seen it, lol.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

John. Wick.

11 years ago | Likes 723 Dislikes 12

Im no movie critic but it wasnt great. Omg you killed my dead wifes dog now i will kill your son. The equalizer is better imo. No hate pls.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 9

Thank you so much, I didn't have the courage to make John Wick known but it was such a fun movie.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

John. Fucking. Wick!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mutha. Fckn. Bad. Ass

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My panties are in a bunch that so many of you guys loved John Wick. Tried explaining to my friend but she wasnt having none of it.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gonna need photographic evidence of that username

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why? Are you a cop? I know my rights. You can't come in here without a warrant.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just as I thought, your nips aren't nifty at ALL! You're a phony!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You asked for it.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

easily the best action movie in the last few years

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I was just about to say that.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No. Nonononono. This movie was traumatic. WHY THE PUPPY?!

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Best action movie since TAKEN

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Want to see so bad.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This one of the best action movie of this 10 last years, because he have his own univers and a real personnality, which is pretty rare.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This guy gets it.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No lie. My cousin helped train Keanu in jujitsu and died twice in that movie

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oooh yeah that was pretty good!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

John motherfucking Wick. Such a great fucking movie. Remember to look out for the baba yaga.

11 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Love how the dad knew how badly his kid fucked up

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

JON FUCKING WICK

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Hobbit: Battle of the five armies

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 10

So upset that this movie didn't get more recognition. It's been a while since I've seen such great fight choreography.

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

no.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Was nothing more than decent.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 9

"Hello Jim" "Hello John" "Working again?" "Nope. Just working through some personal shit" "I'll let you get back to it then" BEST SCENE EVA

11 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 0

Yaaasss

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"oh"

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Awesome film, much better than i expected. Dog lovers: watch at your own risk.

11 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 1

No it's not a warning it's an instructional/warning video in case something like this were to happen

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I wanna watch John Wick so bad but can't bc of the puppy scene. Can someone give me the minute to minute time frame I should just skip?

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just watch it. You will end up with a tear jn your eye and fire in your soul. Its all about the journey that makes the film great.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuck

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Spoilers?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Not really, it's in the trailer as well :)

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'll put it this way: It is one of the greatest revenge pictures I have seen, and if you like dogs, all the killing still isn't enough.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

well alright sounds like i'm not watching it. legit thanks.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Nah still watch it. This just means you will root for him that much more.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the warning!

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm glad to see Xmen on here. I feel the franchise has really made a comeback.

11 years ago | Likes 123 Dislikes 16

Agreed.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Am I the only one who didn't like it? Felt that they just focused on Mystique because of J-Law. And everything that happened on

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The Wolverine didn't even matter or made sense.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Considering that they effectively undid a TON of the damage done by X-3, Days of future past is A ok in my book.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

People can say whatever they want about it but that Quicksilver scene was FUCKING AWESOME

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would have liked this movie more if it wasn't for Fox's ever pressing and debilitating fear of female protagonists

11 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 5

It was because they made the B team too young to be born in the 70s. Not that I liked Rogue being a teenager either.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For clarity the central character of this movie should have been Kitty Pryde: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Days_of_Future_Past

Yeah, but in a way they couldn’t have done it even if they wanted: movie-version Shadowcat wasn’t even *born* yet in the 1970s.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Considering they couldn't even do the Dark Pheonix saga without making Magneto the evil puppeteer I didn't have high hopes to begin with.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The scenes with the sentinels were upsetting.

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Those scenes are horribly brutal. Especially seeing Colossus being torn in half D:

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In what way? Were they non-canonical or aesthetically unpleasant in some way or did you find those sequences emotionally debilitating?

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

In the way that I like the characters and watching them get torn limb from limb in terror was upsetting :)

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Gotcha! I was hoping that's what you meant, I didn't think there was anything wrong with them. :P

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Upsetting" is one way to put it. Agonizing is another.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

SPOILER: the scene where Colossus was torn in two was so upsetting. But it was a great movie and even Colossus can get rekt.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah that was what broke me watching it. I was all "NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hated that section, he even gets his head smushed at the start too :(

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Movies that also didn't suck: Guardians of the Galaxy, Foxcatcher, Locke, The 100 foot journey, 22 Jump Street, Non-Stop, Lego Movie

11 years ago | Likes 107 Dislikes 11

Gone Girl, The Hobbit, The Imitation Game, Birdman, The Theory of Everything

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Imma go ahead and disagree with you on the Hobbit. I thought it was quite shit, actually. First two I liked, last one was all over the place

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't call it shit. It wasn't as good as the first two obviously, but I enjoyed it as a 3 hour piece of eye candy.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm boycotting the Hobbits, but I'm sure you're right. :D

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I feel ya. I could move past TLOR being 3 movies as it was 3 books. The Hobbit was 1 book that setup for TLOR not 3 epics of filler bullshit

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Add The Babadook, The Double, John Wick, and A Walk Among the Tombstones to the list.

11 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I was VERY disappointed in The Double.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Really? I thought it was amazing.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I enjoyed Ayoade's Submarine much better, but to be fair, I've always felt Dostoyevsky a bit stuffy.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well honestly, Ayoade's adaptation of The Double was only loosely based on the Dostoyevsky novel.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd add The Imitation Game to the list. I thought Bembersnatch Cumbersniffle's acting was spot on.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I haven't seen it yet, but if his acting in this is as good as it was in Osage County, I don't doubt it.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ive seen it a few weeks ago, great acting, great directing, easily one of the top movies of the year

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

WHAT ABOUT NON-STOP THO?!!

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Right? I was expecting Taken at 30,000 feet, but actually really, really good!

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Everything was awesome!

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

How about fuckin BIRDMAN, arguably the best film of 2014

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Oh wait nvm that was on his first list

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I loved watching Tom Hardy act in Locke, and I really liked the idea. However I think the execution of the overall premise fell flat.

Yet you still left off lots of good ones in favor of Spiderman...The 100 Foot Journey, The Hobbit, God's Not Dead, Anchorman 2.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

gods not dead lol

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Off of these 2 lists, I have only seen Guardians of the galaxy...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

22 jump street, really?

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

YES REALLY

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

22 Jump Street was so funny man, and worked pretty well as as satire of sequels in general

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I didn't hate it, but I don't think it was great. I had a couple laughs but not a great one of 2014 IMO.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Christ, that movie sucked so bad. A complete plot-copy from the first one.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

You're thinking of Hangover 2. 22 Jump Street was good by comparison.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

My fiancé could barely watch it. Was too awkward for him.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lego Movie was last year homie.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not in my country. :-(

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope, February 2014.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The climax made me climax. Best third act I've ever seen.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It was amazing. I had no expectations going into it and it turned out to be one of best movies I've seen.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My brother had a role in that movie, he was the bari sax player

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wait was your brother Metz?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

JK Simmons is the fucking man in that movie.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's great if you can get into it. I wasn't too into it and thought it was fairly good

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He's not bad, but why are they trying to shove Miles Teller down our throats? He's in so much shit.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Saw it today and was blown away by it.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Me too. All I will say about this is that J.K. Simmons needs an Oscar for his work in this

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

May get a nom, won't win. Too many great performances. Redmayne (Theory of Everything), Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler), Carrell (Foxcatcher), etc

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There's been a lot of talk about that. He'll definitely get nominated.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had no idea Snowpiercer was a thing until I found it on Netflix, very good, but an unsatisfying ending. 9/10

11 years ago | Likes 120 Dislikes 23

I found it to be awful

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

I liked the fact that I never knew what was going to happen next, because nothing about that movie made any fucking sense.

11 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 4

It follow it's own logic and was consistent throughout so that's not true at all.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Kinda corny but honestly I loved it.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Indeed. It was a hidden, and severely tarnished, gem.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Up voting you based on your name alone

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Personal taste is so odd, I only watched it last night and REALLY loved it.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

I agree, isn't it weird and interesting? I thought it was really cheesy and the acting was terrible. Barely made it thru the whole thing.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

crazy how nature do dat

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I always think the purposely unsatisfying endings are part of the movie's charm. It leaves you thinking about it more

11 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 8

Considering it was a primarily Korean production crew, that ending is pretty much what I expected. Happy endings are not for them.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yea but I need closure. CAN'T YOU SEE I'M UNSTABLE?!

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

spoiler alert 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The bear eats those fucking kids as soon as the camera pans away. End of humanity, end of story.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Literally though, they would die long before they could reproduce. Humanity was fuuucked when that bomb when off.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I totally get it Piegiver; it was super great until it became blah :(

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

My guess is they die within a a day or so. A teenager taking care of a 5 year old in freezing conditions...even if they did survive.... Ewww

The dialog wasn't the best either but still very cool story

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 6

it was the director's first english film, apparently he's very popular in south korea

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well it is a Korean film of a French book made with English speaking actors.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah I'm going to read the book since I understand french :p

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Plus the fact that the entire concept was just plain dumb, I feel like they started with "Everybody lives on a train." And worked with that.

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 6

And then at the end, they went all fucking weird magic technology bullshit. The fact that it was a train wasn't even RELEVANT!

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Its fine if you didn't like it but dismissing it for its concept is ridiculous. Its like saying Jurassic Park is dumb because its impossible

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's actually a completely valid opinion. I love Jurassic Park and still think that's reasonable.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I got about 20 minutes in to it before I turned it off. I found it to be just too lacking in substance :/

11 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 9

Thank you! I was starting to wonder if we all watched the same movie. I'm far from a critic. I like most movies I watch. Snow piercer = bad

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It was AWFUL!

11 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 10

I concur.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

That movie sucked soo bad I canceled my Netflixs

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

I just think it was a conceptually interesting story, I recommend giving it another chance!

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

WHO BRINGS GUNS ONTO THE TRAIN THATS NOT SUPOSE TO HAVE ANY PROBLEMS ON IT LIKE WHAT THE FUCK!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah why would all these rich white people have security guards? Like ugh guys what a plot hole amirite?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would have liked it maybe if it were set on another planet. It expected me to forget too much to accept it existing on earth. It were dum.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Forget what? I mean, I hated that movie, but it was very well explained what happened and why they were on the train.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

It felt like sci-fi written by someone who knows nothing about science? :/

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Didn't enjoy snowpiercer, so many silly scenes couldn't really take it seriously.

11 years ago | Likes 226 Dislikes 31

Ugh god, I HATED snowpiercer, I thought it was a joke. Turns out it's not. and people like it. this is why I hate critics.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

"I just wrote this for you......" TRAIN

11 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

This...fucking this.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Bahhhhh it was so awful

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ugh god, I HATED snowpiercer, I thought it was a joke. Turns out it's not. and people like it. this is why I hate critics.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It was just another rehash of the post-apocalyptic caste-system re-invented: Hunger Games, Equilibrium, 1984 and the likes. And poorly done.

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

It was exactly 74% bad.

11 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 6

I strongly disagree. It was 96% pure, distilled crap.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

i fell asleep after the first like 7 minutes, but my friend still said i didn't really miss anything good

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I thought I was the only one. The storyline was unrealistic and pathetic. Seemed like a movie you study in high school for it's meaning.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Didn't hear a single good review of this from my friends.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

make your own decision?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Too many films I haven't had time to watch that *have* received good reviews from my friends...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i just watched it yesterday and I loved it!

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Worst Captain America yet.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The last scene, with the bear, made me laugh uncontrollably.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You need to embrace the ridiculousness and let it into your heart.

11 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 10

I agree. The dialogue was absolutely terrible. Production value was pretty high, but the script....blegh.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

OMG, I loved it!

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 10

Seriously, seeing this on the list pretty much means this is just a list of movies that came out in 2014.

11 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 4

instant cult classic, with everything that comes with that kinda thing.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It was amazing up until the end. After a certain point it was poo. You know which point that was.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I stayed up late to watch it last night but should have slept instead...

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It was just so needlessly fucked up. Like 'ohh we're edgy, take Chris Evans seriously'. What a waste of 2 hours.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"I know babies taste the best" actual line from the movie. I laughed out loud in a full theater

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I never understood why that character got upset when he discovered that he'd been fed insects, seeing as he'd eaten babies.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, do you guys want to start eating babies again and not eat these insect bars?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh god you paid real money for it? Sorry bruh

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah it had some really cool scenes but it wasn't an amazing film.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I found it just too preposterous and yes, quite bad.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The movie should've been call "everyone loses their fucking arms"

11 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 3

This. I liked the movie yet, this.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Everytime a Chris Evans character gets on a train someone loses an arm

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Interesting. I've found Imgur to overwhelmingly hate this movie, yet I find it praised everywhere else. Rotten Tomatoes has it at 95% w/

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

This proves that I'm at the right place. I loathed it

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I loved Snowpiercer but I can see how it's not for everybody. It's definitely more of an intellectual movie than an action-packed movie

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

165 reviews, various comments section of other sites are filled with a combination of love, hate, and inbetween, and just about everyone I

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

personally know that has seen it at least appreciates it if not loves it. Yet Imgurians almost exclusively seem to hate it.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But what did you think about it?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nah, imgur was all over it before and right after it came out.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It felt like watching Chinese cinema or a live action anime. If someone is into that i guess it's not terrible but i hated it. Just so dumb

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I doubt most critics SAW the film and just mimicked what their friend-critics wrote, who also mimicked what THEIR friend-critics wrote...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

THIS someone tried to tell me "I didn't get it" but it was so over the top and ridiculous. I am all for suspending reality but come on.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah, I couldn't enjoy it either. Just to much that I would see it, and all I could think was "God, that is absolutely retarded."

11 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 12

Exactly what I thought about the scenario

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The production values were pretty damn good, but jesus christ was the story just awful.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

It was okay until the very end when they... you know... made the whole struggle pointless.

11 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 4

Yep. Had to go and bring in that element of "I WATCHED THE WHOLE FILM FOR THIS?"

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The ending was horrid. "Lets go get brutally mauled by that polar bear!"

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

MOTHERFUCKING INTO THE WOODS WAS SO GODDAMN TRAUMATIC. HUMOROUS MY ASS. I need a neck brace for all that mood whiplash.

11 years ago | Likes 472 Dislikes 9

WELCOME TO THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF MUSICAL THEATRE, MOTHERFUCKER

11 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

Words that Sondheim lived by

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Into the woods was great and Agony was fucking hilarious, right until the point where the whole movie turned around and gut punched me.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You got Sondheim'ed.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was about to say this whole list seemed like it should have been titled best Horror films. A lot of these are panic/scary or horror :/

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

From what I understand, that's how Sondheim intended it to be with the original musical?

11 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but the musical was more lighthearted about it.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That depends heavily on the staging and directing.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

THEY WON'T STOP SINGING! Musicals are fine and all, but dear GOD the WHOLE THING IS ONE LONG SONG! Oh look, ANOTHER SONG! AHHHHGH!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

They cut all the dialogue... the confrontation with the giant is originally three times as long.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well yeah that's what it's supposed to be.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

AGONNYYYYYYYYYY *rips open shirt*

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You need to see the broadway version. Waaaaay more feels in that one.

11 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 2

When Rapunzel rode away with the second Prince. I couldn't. I just couldn't. THAT IS NOT WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS, DISNEY.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Ino right? And they got rid of the song with his dad.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah. And I understand having a narrator in a movie is just way too hokey. But when they'd break that fourth wall and... *squish*

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I've been a huge fan since I was three and I finally saw it today, so happy.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Thanks for reminding me: the song "So Happy" wasn't in the film, and it made me so unhappy >:|

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You've been Sondheimized.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah but Rapunzel doesn't die... she's supposed to die.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah but it's Disney adapted. As shitty as it is that it's not true to the musical it sort of makes sense that they'd change it.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Of course it makes sense that they'd change a few details, but in general there's definite reason for it to be on this list.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That movie was beatiful I am a bit dissapoited in the lack of The Narratior and Agony part 2, but it was still fantastic.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I hated that No More wasn't included.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Watch the Original Bway version, then watch the Regent's Park version: http://www.digitaltheatre.com/production/details/into-the-woods.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm actually listening to the soundtrack right now.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

while it has sad parts the underlying message is beautiful and optimistic!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I take it you haven't seen the Broadway version. Even more traumatic. And way better than the movie

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Albeit the movie was very good. The play is just magnificent.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Into the woods was fantastic. Check out the musical. Even more tragic

11 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 2

Oh shit. I wanted to see it, but I mistook this film for a musical from the trailer...

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It is definitely a musical. Few unsung lines at all.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

he means live. This one does a great job keeping it true to the musical but it never is the same

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I thought into the woods was really boring and kind of sucked. And I like musicals.

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 7

it's not something I would go and watch again thats for sure. I was ready for it to be over at the first fake ending xD

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

In the original, that's the end of act one, and act two is 9 months later. It definitely feels less awkward.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The musical performances were great but I thought it was really poorly directed. Cold fish line readings from actors I know can do better.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Tru dat

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

It got Disneyfied.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Welcome to the wonderful world of Stephen Sondheim. Where he makes you laugh and then stabs you in the gut.

11 years ago | Likes 115 Dislikes 1

Was he the guy that wrote Wicked?

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 9

I've just done the prologue from into the woods about a week ago. This comment makes me feel like a turnip

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No. He wrote Sweeney Todd and Assassins as well as a whole host of others, but these three are most well known.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Ah silly me. Thanks

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd kill for an assassins movie! With NPH reprising his Broadway role

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

NPH and Michael Ceveris... -drool- I love Ceveris' voice. He's incredible.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I am worried now o-o. I fully intend to see it. I've got great memories from the stage built around Into the Woods.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

See it. The changes are disappointing and the directing is lackluster, but the musical performances definitely make it worth it.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You are going to love Agony.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Okay, fine. So Agony was fucking hilarious, but dayum Disney that was unexpectedly painful. They went the full Grimm and then added tragedy.

11 years ago | Likes 105 Dislikes 2

Chris Pine fucking killed it. That is all.

11 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

U mean that part where he was with Emily Blunt? If so. Yes he killed it

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

THE PART WHERE HE RIPS HIS SHIRT OPEN AND FALLS TO HIS KNEES YOU FIEND

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Disney didn't do this, Stephen Sondheim did. Helloooo

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

In the play, Rapunzel is also killed, both princes are adulterers, Rapunzel also gives birth to twins in the desert etc

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The narrator is also murdered

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

in the original play the characters actually murder the narrator too

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

"You can't kill me, I'm not a part of this story!"

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

IMO, it really sold the idea that the characters were really on their own and it made the ending that much stronger.

Same. lets just say my face was a mixture of extreme surprise and disgust when that part came on. was not expecting that from Disney

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Shh, it's a musical. Everything is not meant to be taken literally.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Did you miss the part where she sang a song about regretting it and then fell off a cliff.

11 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

That's what truly ruined the movie. Boooo

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She falls off a cliff? Dafuq?

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Bruh. Spoiler alerts hither and yon. (Unless you know the story and are referring to lack of tree-fallings, in which case yes, a cliff.)

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's what truly ruined the movie. Boooo

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In the original she gets crushed by a tree the giant knocks onto her.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And Jack buries her in a footprint, yes yes, insert Disney excuses for changing it here.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Apparently there were a couple more deaths in the play.

11 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

The witch doesn't die (or collapse into a puddle of goo) in the play. I thought that was weird.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

"A couple."

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

yeah, the narrator gets killed by the giant(in the musical hes an actual physical character) and Rapunzel dies in the desert i think

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Rapunzel bizarrely dies of postpartum depression. She's overcome with grief and commits suicide by jumping underneath the giant. Yeah.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

oh yeah that's right, haven't seen the play in years

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep. Rapunzel bites it in the play instead of running away.

11 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

I'm really annoyed they didn't include that. It added to the macabre feeling of the whole thing. Sondheim is just perfect.

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Also the witch's lament makes more sense after a death than after her running away.

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Putting Amazing Spider-man 2 up there discredits the whole list .-.

These lists discredit themselves. Someone just lists off some movies, gives it an arbitrary title that seems interesting, boom, front page.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Someone works for sony

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why haven't they learned from their mistakes! Too _many_villains in a one movie. Argh!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah like WTF that was the worst Superhero movie of the last decades and definitely the worst movie ever made in 2014. List is bullshit.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The whole first 3 discredit the list. What the heck did OP think?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

snowpiercer was a piece of garbage. Under the skin aswell. In any case its a matter of taste.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I enjoy TASM2 but even I have to say it's placement on this list is a little bit strange when so many other greats have been overlooked

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Especially putting it over The Raid 2!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

If any movie discredited the list for any reason, it would be Snowpiercer, because it's from 2013.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The movie itself wasn't great, but I think Andrew was the best Peter Parker/Spider-Man so far

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Snow Piercer sucked also. The ending was complete BS.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It seems to be a popular opinion that Spider-Man 2 was bad. But I enjoyed it. Plenty of action, what else were you hoping for exactly?

11 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 12

too many villains. hard to build up the characters of iconic villains like Rhino, Goblin, Electro, when they're all in the same film.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How about a movie that made sense

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

A coherent story and character motivations that seem reasonable.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Universe building that's subtle and/or organic as opposed to forced.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Okay, while I agree with that I'll also ask why people thought Captain America: Winter Soldier was so good, following that same idea?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The universe building in TWS felt like it served the story rather than the other way around.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes because the action is just so amazing and better than any movie ever that who cares how shitty the story is!

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I never said that. But I don't go to a superhero movie expecting the story to be that enthralling either. Good guy fights bad guy. Wins.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I hate this logic so much. Just because it's a blockbuster doesn't mean it has to be shitty. And it's not like it's that enjoyable anyway.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

not a shitty story. sony doesnt do spiderman justice

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

all rumors, hope so, he had a big part in the civil war

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure, but it sure as shit was better than the old Spider-Man movies. It wasn't groundbreaking, but it wasn't terrible either.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

well in terms of how marvel studios handles their licenses compared to sony, spiderman is mediocre at best, just using him as a cashcow

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did you even see Spider-Man 2? It was probably the best comic book movie up until 2008.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm going to have to strongly disagree with The Amazing Spider-man 2 as being a film that didn't suck.

11 years ago | Likes 1149 Dislikes 82

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Personally I enjoyed the movie, but the pacing was extremely awkward in some spots and I have no problem seeing why a lot of people hate it.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I really liked it. It wasn't great but it's worth including in the list because it's been written off by pretty much everyone.

It... It was actually my favorite Spider-Man movie to date. Didn't get why people hated it so much...

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Because people are nostalgic for Raimi's campy bastardization of Spiderman lore.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I think I may have liked it slightly better than part 3 with Tobey Maguire, but that's not saying much.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm with that guy, it it wasn't very good.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That movie was fucking awful.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Snowpiercer is also quite horrible in my opinion.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

yea, it was pretty bad.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And X-Men too. X-Men movies are never good, especially first class, and I find Days of Future's Past to be lame.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The action scenes were amazing. But unfortunately, that was only like 10% of the movie.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Action scenes are the equivalent of decorations. In a poorly built house with all kinds of problems, decorations just make it look prettier.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Not in a comic book movie with an action-based plot. Spider-man is supposed to fight people.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(1/2) All other points aside (and there are many), there was never any explanation as to why...

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

(2/2) Spiderman could suddenly take electricity loads that fried city blocks. I was just supposed to accept his invincibility.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Haven't seen it since it came out...but in fact there *was* an explanation. There was a scene of him trying to figure out a solution, and

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

later a conversation between him and Gwen about what he can do to solve it. And then a shot of him modifying his web shooters and following

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

...through.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Must have missed it. I'll have to check up on it.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know its been a year, but I agree with you. Still right in 2016!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Put Snowpiercer in with it. What a piece of garbage.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I loved it! Great action scenes, good pace throughout it's length, and sweetness between Peter and Gwen. just imo ofc

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

X-men also, Lol.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

TASP2, like all movies written by Kurtzman and Orci, was created to put scenes in trailers to sell tickets, not to actually tell a story.

11 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 4

You said it best!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The main used image for posters and trailers. Spidey attacking Rhino with a manhole cover. Is the last scene in the movie...

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah. It's literally the last shot. The scene isn't even finished.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

tony awks spro pater 2?

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's definitely what it seemed like to me after I saw it. That appears to be a growing trend in Hollywood. Sad..

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I love Fringe, but those two have a real habit of fucking up movies.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I actually thought it was an improvement from the first one

11 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 13

really? I liked the first one but not the second one.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is not a refutation of the statement that it sucked.

11 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 4

...just a confirmation that the first one sucked slightly more.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I kinda liked the first, and thought the second was totally forgettable.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me too. Except that I really liked the first one too.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't particularly like the first one, but I thought the 2nd one was worse. I feel like it was an unnecessary reboot.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

Yeh the first one almost made me cry with the cranes but the second one I didn't feel anything at the clock tower.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Seriously. I hate the new movies. Nothing about them is Peter. He isn't relatable at all and the shitty father storyline adds nothing.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The only thing that could've made it worse if it had emo Toby Maguire playing peter parker

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 6

I thought it was hilarious because even when trying to be an evil badass, he was so painfully dweeby.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why does nobody ever realize that's the joke? You're not supposed to like Emo Peter. It was the symbiote. Him overcoming it is the point.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I actually thought the first and second one with him were alright, but yes, he got real emo and campy on the third one.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

The third one was a terrible story. But at least it was a story, not a series of unrelated clips.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I really liked Alfred Molina as Doc Oc in the second one.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Emma's and Andrew's adorable-ness are the best parts of those movies. Jamie Foxx's acting is the worst part.

11 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 6

But gosh he seemed to be having such fun ruining Electro. Seriously, who's idea was it to make Electro the main villain? That guy is C list.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Jamie Foxx is a great actor, the shit role was to blame. If I wanted to watch Edward Nigma rise to power, I'd watch an old Batman movie.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No, the worst part was the fucking pointless plot that takes forever for anything interesting to happen.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Agreed

wrong.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

And character development, plot, less product placement, better dialog, and overall more understanding of what makes peter, "Spiderman"

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, sony needs to sell the rights back to Marvel and that's that.

11 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 2

In Whedon we trust

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Just because you like Spider-Man doesn't mean you have to like every Spider-Man movie. The last three movies have been shit.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You know what OP, fuck ya! I loved that movie and I am a big Spidey fan too.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Im a huge Spiderman fan too. I had been really looking forward to this but it is one of the worst movies I have seen in years!

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That move is garbage. Not even in the same league as the rest of the list.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I thought the character development was shallow, and the acting was kind of cheesy. Also it was really campy, which I hate. Just my opinion.

Sorry you're getting downvoted for this, OP. I also like the amazing Spider-Man movies.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It is a bold statement after all. Until the film actually comes out I can't back it up with facts.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

As a HUGE spiderman fan/nerd as much as I want it to be it probably won't.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

I can't imagine Spiderman without camp. Maybe this isn't the superhero for you?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There is camp and then over the top camp. In a comic that works but adjustments need to be made on film as its a different medium.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I disagree. A comic book movie should be expected to be campy, and some should even be over the top. Spiderman - from his character, to

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(2) his jokes, to his rogues gallery...should definitely be expected to be over the top. Sure, some superhero movies avoid camp and go for

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(3) dark/gritty//serious...but those are exceptions.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

While I enjoyed the 1st rebooted movie more than the original one, I gotta say the original 2nd was better than the reboot 2nd.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Take 60 seconds and describe the plot to yourself. I bet you either forget the order because it makes no sense, or hate it for same reason.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

I'm a big Spidy fan and I hate it. There were good parts but it was mostly just Sony trying to keep the rights. Nevermind if it was any good

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Sam Rami's Spider-Man 2 I would say would be the best follow by both of the 1st for their series. AS2 only beast Spidey 3 disaster.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

i honestly loved it, i didnt even know people thought it was a bad movie until today.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

I really liked it too, but evidently *everyone else hates it* and many think it killed the series.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

i personally cant wait for the rest of the series.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hopefully there is one...the Sinister Six movie sounded especially interesting

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't really hear good arguments on why except for "it sucked, I hate it". Meh, hate away, I think they're nice.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

If you're interested this guy gives his thoughts on it pretty entertainingly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJUk8ZHckxo

Thanks!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i agree, people are entitled to their opinions though, im honestly just suprised it seemed to get this much hate.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I know. I agree with people that complain about way too much ad placement, but story-wise, it seemed fine? I've definitely seen worse.
