Most distant thing you see with your naked eye is the Andromeda Galaxy ~2.5m light years away - but you can't distinguish stars there...
All stars that you see in the night sky are stars in our own galaxy meaning, you only see them at most ~50k years in the past (1)

very cool! If you want to stack several pictures to get a better galaxy image, use sequator. It's a pretty nifty software
