Helicopter flight and ground instructor with too many prior years wrenching on the ancient F-15. Ask me any questions!
AOE II , I’m probably not helping the cause here.
My first thought as well
You should strip the paint off and hit it with an aluminum polish and buffer, it would really pop with the bright yellow cab.
They don’t understand the difference between the economy’s inflation rate and companies simply price gouging people.
What. A. SURPRISE. AGAIN.
I never thought of it as an urge, I have no desire to harm myself, but to me it’s more just pure fascination and awe. Like, wow, there’s literally nothing between me and absolute death.
So the “6” side would be the lightest face since it’s had the most brass drilled out. Curious as to how significantly the CG moving to the opposite side would affect the statistics of likely landing “6” up.
Owning 250k rounds is mental illness .
They probably could’ve remained anonymous but of fucking course, they willfully stepped forward to be seen and now history will forever see these guys as massive losers. I did the usual dumb teen things growing up but I can say that I will never have a permanent record of having the future president of the US publicly lay the fuck smack on me in front of the world.
If you don’t regret it, would it really be a waste of money?
That scream lives rent free in my head. I absolutely love it. It has the same over-the-top campy vibes as the Wilhelm scream.
Age of empires II. Just have to run to a corner of the map and hope nobody notices me.
Definitely bringing back memories of Sonic 3 and Knuckles for me
1969 Nissan Skyline 2000GTR
Oof. I lived in Okinawa for 4 years and that put me off from long travel for too long. Someday I’ll make it to NZ once I build up enough courage.
Truth. One of my recent flights had a 14hr leg. I legit don’t know how people do that consistently and not go insane.
I wish I could sleep on a plane for 3 straight hours
Perry bible fellowship! I could tell just by the way he draws expressions
Yep. With two counter rotating rotor systems, they are not limited by retreating blade stall, which is what limits nearly every single-rotor helicopter. On a single rotor in forward flight, the advancing and retreating sides of the rotor disk experience different relative air velocities, creating dissymmetry of lift. Blades can flap to change the amount of lift and equalize it, but when they can no longer do so, you’re unable to fly faster because one side will uncontrollably create more lift.
Do you find something comical about my appearance when I'm driving my automobile?
I used the GI Bill and it’s been fantastic. Paid for my tuition through a community college for a fantastic degree that I would never have been able to afford with insane loans and it was extremely easy to do.
May I ask what state? As a mechanic it irks me on multiple levels, specifically the climate change one and the “making a perfectly good engine run like shit on purpose” level.
It absolutely is.
I agree. From my experience, helicopters actually take harsh weather and turbulence even better than airplanes. Helicopter blades are able to flex, and on certain rotor head designs can flap, lead and lag in their plane of rotation, giving them a sort of “suspension” like a car.
My cat 100% wants belly rubs above all else. I am blessed.
I saw one approaching on the highway the other day on a walk and it gave me the weirdest video game/reality crossover feeling because as it approached my mind went “it hasn’t rendered yet, it’s far away.” Then as it passed by I sort of snapped back like “oh yeah, this is reality. That thing is just the worst.”
Mine fell out of my moving van by accident, ricocheted off the metal deck and then bounced and tumbled a bit on the asphalt. Thought that had to have killed it. Plugged it in later for fun to see what horrible things it might do if I tried to print something, but it worked perfectly and still does 5 years later.
