Saw them in 2001...their support was Reel Big Fish. Unfortunately never saw Sum 41 again, but RBF almost over a dozen times. So thank you.

"Some people spend their whole life in bars. It's sad and pathetic. Just yesterday a guy sat next to me for 8 hours."

Germany here. Banned here since 1991, and it still shows up occasionally.

First of all don't touch it, then report it. The way and where it is buried (= context) can be part of the historical value of the items. (Note: Here in Germany in most states archaeological finds belong to the state by default. You are often entitled to recompensation, though)

Yep, been there. "Nice theory" I thought. But why bother?. Even bought some (~10 BTCs) for under 50$ a pop back in the day to pay some stuff on Fasttech (PayPal was blocked). If I only knew back then....

My very first concert ever was a Scorpions Show in 93 or 94.

No, the point is that closing them was decided quite some time ago, so they weren't maintained with a longer operation time in mind. It would not have been possible to just keep them running on a whim.

So Germany shut down its last two reactors and that caused an energy crisis for Europe? The grid is not that delicate.

As an European, who never was there, I am wondering: Why would someone move to Florida?

The idea that you only have a limited number of sick days (..you can choose to be sick 10 days a year) is still baffling to me.

Spotify doesn't rip off artists, it's the labels/rights owner/companies who do this. They could easily demand a different payout scheme , e.g. where your fee (minus 20% for Spotify) is distributed only to the artists you actually listened to, and where it doesn't not go into to the overall pool. But they don't and won't.

That is nice and all, and Japan is the master of wrapping things in a delightful manner...but the amount of trash is always staggering.

Reading leaves everything to your mind, your imagination. Audiobooks take some of that away by choice of actors, accents and voice acting. So imho it's not the same, but something else. Not better or worse, though, and ideal for doing something besides reading.

Apple TVs (even though I am not an Apple fan, Shield fanboy here) stay compatible with streaming apps way longer than most TVs.
