Took the average deaths per capita in other countries, differences would be about 140 less deaths.
I am used to be down voted here, you are not handling it well.Context: Those extra 140 deaths per year are completely unnecessary, the death of these people effect a far greater range of people as well. To just inflict that trauma on so many people is a travesty.
40 is still 10x more than other countries.

I just finished the first book 33 years is apparently relevant because that is the age when Hobbits are considered mature. I remember the parts that I skipped and those slow bits are all enjoyable now. Tolkien really was a good writer, not comparable or the same quality of action you get in fantasy today, but the story is amazing.

Sadly faster ships can be worse emission wise, so fast passenger ferries can be worse than flying. The silver lining with that is that many ships can easily half their emissions by just going slower.

Actually it is free 15 hours a week from three years old.And the total max fee would be about $300 if you have four kids you calculate it like this: 3%+2%+1%+0% out of the family income. I do not think many counties check if the kids earn money though, so usually only the parents.. :-)

No need to be a wanker by glorifying or excusing dooring.I do actively check while opening a door, this nightmare of a situation would not happen to me. So I feel a lot more blame should be put on the passenger/driver, dooring is as a serious offense. I think most people here are normalizing it, by extension they are encouraging a behavior that is risky.
It is not black and white. It was an accident that is true. That said dooring people like that is extremely dangerous, when ever you open the door it's your responsibility to check behind you. If you ever get yourself into an accident like this you should be really ashamed of yourself.
