The ***only*** way we will ever recover, ever, is if we elect a candidate who dedicates every resource possible to, not only rescinding all Trump's garbage, but to spend massive resources arresting and imprisoning Republicans who have abused their positions. I want to see prison sentences. Indictments for treason. If we get some fucking compromiser who promises to be nice, we're done for. But, that's probably what will happen. I left the DNC after THIRTY FIVE YEARS. I'm just disgusted

I used to think getting rid of trump would fix most things, but now... He's just a superficial tumor. Once he's out of office, it wiill do nothing. The Republicans who worship him will continue to be horrible horrible people.

If we are lucky, the worst that will happen is a breakup, like the Soviets releasing Eastern Europe, but probably not until the Republicans leave us with an equivalent economics collapse, where a democratic leader has to choose between oligarchy or allowing states their independence. What I think we can all agree on is that we're not looking at a good time in the future....both near and long
I can't help but think these churches, had they been outspoken against Christian Nationalism, could have helped us avoid all of this. Not completely their fault, but people like my mom, and her nice church, with rainbow flags and BLM flags, could have spoken out instead of very very quietly suggesting that the other "Christians" just had a different interpretation of Christianity.
