My guess is because they were probably forced my musk to use AI as much as possible as a way to promote it. The most annoying thing about the AI bubble is the uselessness of AI. If the goal of companies is to make money, why wouldn't you just allow employees to use either if they wanted and promote whoever does the best work? Its because AI is trash and they have to force it. Most likely canceled the "powered by AI" press release when they couldn't actually find billions in savings.

No, I totally get that, but I also came from the restaurant industry where I worked with a lot of younger guys who looked like him: fresh-faced, average-seeming white boys with maybe a little privilege showing.
But the difference is in the eyes and the smile; you can tell when there's no soul because there's none in the eyes and the smile is only skin deep. You could think of it as The Patrick Bateman Effect.

A perfect example here is that most humanities grants require a paragraph on how the grant affects undeserved populations, even when the subject of the grant doesn't directly relate to that community. So this canceled a ton of grants that had fuck all to do with "DEI" just for context less keyword searching.

I think i feel more sad, i disrespect them more, and pity them (to the point I almost feel... no I definitely feel, the entire world would just be so much better off without them...) so it close to 'hate' but not the same. I really don't expect the Democratic Party to ever actually do anything about this. I do expect a ton of internal double-crossing and back-stabbing though. He's a low-level lackey. States are enacting laws that make it a state crime to violate federal law. Pardons don’t impact state crimes (and immunity at federal level doesn’t prevent double jeopardy or anything like that).
The consequences aren’t instant, which certainly sucks … but they are coming.

That is so fair and I have those days myself. I just remember that’s their goal and I’m not gonna let them win.
And IMO some days it’s crucial to pause and recharge and feel defeated. It’s a nice reminder that we are upset because we truly care.
Plus the really cool part is yea, they can beat you down. But there are millions more of us to hold the line until you’re ready to get up again.

Bi-Partisan caucuses ensue, and once the right speaker of the house and senate president are in place, both Trump/Vance are impeached and convicted/removed.
This is why they want to rig the midterms. We don’t have to wait 3 years, it can start in 3 months!
