Ah not the same as me, don’t know what blue smoke smell is either. Sorry. They are fairly easy to open up and clear out clogs (mould etc stopped mine draining which caused water to back up and leak) just keep track of all the sneaky screws of which there are plenty.
I have an LG dehumidifier that has broken twice and I have fixed twice. In what way has it broken? Is it leaking or just stopped functioning? If I can help I will try.
