As I said, I'm not rejecting the hypothesis. but it doesn't help when I look at the abstract posted and it already shows that the video took liberties with the information at such a basic level. The study may be valid and valuable, but what this guy does with it isn't.
Yup. I've re-watched the video after reading the abstract and the abstract itself contradicts the video. They didn't follow 7000 subjects and follow them over 35 years. They pre-selected a sample of 7000 and, 35 years later, surveyed 150 of them. I haven't read the paper in detail, don't know anything about its quality, but the video above has the earmarks of sensationalist trash, regardless of the fact that it "validates" my opinion.
I'd be wary of any study that tells me what I want to hear on a platform that routinely aligns with my views. I'm not rejecting the hypothesis, mind you, but at the end of the day, it's still a small sample taken in a different country.
Swam with triggerfish many times. Most of them had a weird concept of territory and would show aggression towards anything that entered a cone centered on their nest (or at least the spot they'd hang on) but would be a lot easier to approach from the bottom. They'd just be ... less aggressive I guess.Had to backpedal a few times after accidentally swimming meters above one thos fuckers' lairs and see them swim at you with murder in their eyes. Got them biting my fins more than once.
Sounds like a pretty good strategy not to lose it.I have never lost a jousting match after all.
Ok you all lost it was me, now you owe me 36$
By the time you read this, it's quite likely the ear is back in place. However, it IS an orange cat, so I wouldn't be to sure.
And yet creating a proper morphing mesh took time and some degree of skill. The fact that a computer did the computing (!) is irrelevant. One could say no programs have been human-made for about half a century since a cpu did the grunt work of compiling instructions.
Absolutely. I'm not lobbing stones at the kid. Better learn this kind of lesson early in your life.
Kid should rethink his friendships if he needs a panic button to escape the weird shit they're up to.
I've seen the cross sign in many places for obvious reasons, but the psychedelic lighting? That's always been French as far as I can remember. Used to be neon back then, but they've religiously kept up with technological advancements. I fully expected projected holograms one day :)
Meth?
(Yes they're idiotic, selfish and despicable, but somehow they cling to power)
And yet they're in power and do what they want. Is it really pwning oneself?
"We've always been at war with Eurasia"I remember reading this book and thinking "Nooo, people can't be that stupid/brainwashed".I was young and naive.
Three words for me : foul smelling ichor
They're pretty decent audiobooks for long drives.
All the other answers are spot on, but I'll add that the Ciaphas Cain books are written using a much more humorous tone than most 40k lore, and they're written as his own memoirs, where he deprecatingly emphasizes his self serving nature and his false cowardice (As said in the very prologue of the first book, if courage is defined by one's ability to overcome fear, Cain's bravery is unquestionable).Cain's novels are the most palatable for me because of this, although they do get repeptitive.
That's pretty much every single encounter with a demon/psyker in the entire Ciaphais Cain series. And even when facing non psychic/warp related monstrosities, many encounters can be summarized as "Cain dodge and parried frantically (a mean feat in itself when facing a hive tyrant, a Khorne berzerker or anything like it) until Jurgen could line up a melta shot and vaporize it.And yeah, Cain knows it. By his own words, heroes of the imperium are a dime a dozen compared to blanks.
We do not talk about Fight Club?
Feels like a watered down rehash of St Anselm's ontological argument. It failed to convince people a thousand years ago, it's probably not going to fare much better today.
1. i don't think in just 4 years he would develop to that size.Punch being a Macaque and Caesar being a chimpanzee, I think you're right :D
It requires two things:- A very very big MRI scanner- A very very still elephant
Keyword here is "documented". The things they don't want you to know ...
Are these really consequences if it's the ones they loathe who have to bear it?
A Tesla in a closed garage can still explode or spontaneously combust. Less "suicide" and more "russian roulette"
Nobody said this was a mail from Trump. I think you misunderstood the point of this post.
That came up snarkier than I intended. Sorry internet stranger. I'm now off for coffee.
Yup, TIFU is full of AI slop. Also on today's news, water is wet :)
