Something often forgotten about the anti-Semitism was that it existed faaaarrr before the Nazis did and was basically everywhere. Jews weren't wrong for wanting a place where the government wasn't trying to genocide them, just as Palestinians weren't wrong for not wanting their homes stripped from them. This is a conflict that requires people to think - something that Americans, especially, don't want to do when it comes to war. We want good guys and bad guys, and have no room for ambiguity.
