Representative of the Galactic Lizard Lord Pontiff. May your cold-blooded nature be warmed on the rocks of paradise by the light of the loving and powerful Pontiff. Bigfoot Expert. Union President of the Upvotes People. Made in America with Lithuanian parts.

Last summer on a breezy evening, I had the windows open in the living room. Then, from outside, a sound. My wife sits up from lying down on the couch. Noise keeps going. She looks at me, big wide eyes, "What the hell is that?!" She's freaking out. I'm like, have you never heard a cat getting ready to fight before? She shook her head 'no.' So I gesture at the windows. "Don't worry, it's just two cats about to go at it." It was like that weird demonic sound they make right before they throw hands.

Taxing the super rich and corporations very important, but the average person won't get out of this without some increase in taxes too. NYC getting into similar bind, I read a few days ago. Mayor Adams left such a bad fiscal situation that just taxing the rich more won't get the city where it needs to be, some increase on regular people would also be necessary.

I wouldn't mind paying more in taxes if my money went to things we need rather than wars/friends of politicians/etc.

different things than I did. You may even benefit from reading the last 6 books closer in time, without waiting long years in between. So don't let me discourage you. 3/3

wink-wink fan service (or it felt like there was a lot), power creep for Dresden, and Butcher used a lot of words when fewer would do, almost like filler to get a book's worth of material. The 'juice' in the first 12 books just seemed to falter in the ones that followed. I say this as someone who was a bigtime fan back in the day, did online roleplay stuff for years, knew the books inside and out. Your experience might be different, and you should keep going because you may feel totally 2/3

I'm assuming I'm an outlier. I recall back in the day that Butcher said Changes was the midway point, but it felt (to me) like he didn't have the will/interest to do another 12 books. He wrote 12 in 11 years, then 6 over 15 years. Book 16 and 17 were originally one book, but he split them into one eh book and one better book (he said publisher forced him, but it felt like cash grab to some fans at the time). My chief complaints with books since Changes were that there was a lot of 1/

Unfortunately I remember very little from the last book, so reading this book is like reading someone's therapy sessions while not knowing why several things are happening. I'm 85% through it and I'm very 'meh' about it. Since 2011, Changes and Skin Game the only books I've liked, for a long while I was a big fan. Maybe the last 15% of this one will really wow me.

How can we expect Jesus to walk on water if he's gonna get headed by a wind turbine, checkmate atheists.

My wife once had too much Kinky Blue, and painted our apartment toilet blue. It smelled like tropical yuck for a bit even after I thought I cleaned everything.

Oh snap, they mean at that point? I always thought they meant on contact with the ball. Like on the swing, you couldn't hit sand before the ball. Today I learnt. Thanks!

Also, keep an eye out for huge chicken pot pies made with their rotisserie chicken meat. A lot of meat, tasty, enough for a whole family or a few meals for couples or singles, just $22 at my Costco.

Close to 20 years ago, I went to Bryce for a week or so, amazing experience. My first time in the desert. Woke up before sunrise in the campsite and hustled to the canyon to snap this photo of Thor's Hammer. I'd love to go back one day.

How do they prove that you hit sand first?

My memory is foggy, but I do not recall newspapers/media going after him much for that line. If VP candidate Harris had said that in debate with Pence, I doubt we ever would have heard the last of it.

It was a Turkish news site, article said the second one was hours after the first, so it wasn't referring only to the first one. I don't recall which site, saw it this morning I think.

As far as I'm aware, two F-35s were hit but not downed so far. I read an article that rather than radar, passive infrared may have assisted in targeting. F-35 designed to limit infrared signature, but it's still there, so maybe they're not targeted with 100% accuracy but still getting grazed/hit.

They followed it up by galloping about like John Cleese in Fawlty Towers making duck noises.

I'm getting similar untrustworthy/BS vibes about Graham "I had no idea this 6+ inch wide totenkopf tattoo, that for years I told people was 'my totenkopf tattoo,' was a Nazi totenkopf" Platner.

I remember getting some really good speed at the roller rink as a kid and only being able to stop by slowing and then hitting the wall. To this day it's not clear to me how to stop on rollerblades.

My insurance just refused to cover a med that my doc prescribed to prevent more weight gain/getting diabetes, because I wasn't yet morbidly obese or diabetic, love it!

https://bsky.app/profile/altwatcher.bsky.social This account keeps tabs on a lot of stuff the Alt NPS accounts do. Alt NPS just some rando, not part of any secret resistance, and instead of sharing links to where they get information, they instead make it seem like it comes from them. They claim credit for things they have nothing to do with, they were doing "secret number," qanon-like posts, all to aggrandize themselves. I would never trust someone like that. (They also did sell stuff.)
