Given the polling before the cancelled 2021 PA reconcilliation elections indicated a high chance that Hamas would have won against Fatah due to widespread dissatisfaction with the leadership (and those numbers have gotten higher since), those are not at all mutually exclusive.

The need for reconciliation/agreement between two political parties who super duper hate each other AND Israeli approval to get just about anything done, including holding elections, has caused a very long period of administrative and political gridlock with Abbas effectively ruling by decree, not helped by the fact that Hamas IS one of those two parties. Theres been an attempt at an election roughly every 7 years since 2007 but it keeps falling through.

if you're serious they were probbably recording because the police were going in after a 3 hour standoff with shots fired.

a funnel (or heck even an angled wooden surface leading to a trough) seems like an easy way to not have to do any of that though hah

model paints tend to have really bad coverage and require lots of layers painting whites over dark colours so people usually try and avoid it if theyre working with lots of or intense white

(not good advice, most companies will own anything you produce working for them unless stated otherwise even if they can the project)

Hamas won a small majority 18 years ago and purged every other party over the next years. Many of the people dying have lived their entire life under absolute rule by Hamas.

Most common web ads contain at least a basic embedded tracking payload these days to enhance ad targeting, letting advertisers buy information telling them how their ads are being served, how much they're skipped, categorising your "type" of user then letting the companies know which user categories receive which ads. Its not 2001 anymore.

I'll happily let youtube serve me banner ads, but being constantly interrupted with multiple loud, grating ads on short-form content (Or an ad every 4-5 minutes on long content) that youtube isnt even paying the actual creators for is a no-sell for me.

Yeah, but the reward for watching the ads is to be served more, longer, more obnoxious ads. My tipping point was when I was asked to watch 30 seconds of obnoxious, unskippable ads on a 15 second joke video.

Or are the workers being bitches cuz it sure doesnt look like there's any way around and they've blocked the whole path in what looks like a residential place with a massive concrete pour. Without context, you can't tell. But you sure are all eager to slaver over the thought of someone being badly hurt, hmm

Amazing how IPOs have a tendency to blow perfectly good companies out of the water

This is just patently not true, people get bowled over tossed and thrown by explosions that dont even come CLOSE to the threshold for death by compressive force.

Ah yes, the server is stupid for not knowing that a random cocktail is supposed to contain an ingredient that sounds like it would be a super weird and gross extra.

the NRA actually doesnt spend that much money on lobbying directly. They prefer the "schmooze and buddy up" approach.

All mountaineering and rock climbing is natural selection against very motivated people. Everest just brings the barrier of selection to amateurs too.

its entirely a prestige thing, because its the biggest hill. There's "infrastructure" in that the tent camps are semi-permanent and theres hundreds of other people on the mountain, and you arent carving your own ice steps because the mountain is so busy, but at the end of the day its an expensive way to be miserable for several months with a chance of ending up a frozen corpse who gets used as just another waymarker by the next season.

That data doesnt have London (The massive world-class city and finance/trade/tech center that occupies about a third of south east england) removed i suspect.

So its not "mexico invaded to free the slaves", its "Texas seceeded so they could have slaves again"

Slavery was illegal in Mexico in the 1820s, which was a point of ever-escalating contention with anglo (immigrants from america) texans. In 1835 amidst general unrest in the country, the province of texas declared independence.

the real reason is because it means you can monetise your twitter arguments via their new ad revenue sharing plan i bet. Too many people were openly discussing how "checkmark = ignore all bait posts so they dont get paid" so they added hidden checkmarks.

Texas seceded from Mexico and declared their own country. The mexicans kicked their ass so the texans begged the USA to annex them (Which they did, and the mexicans lost the ensuring war because the USA really liked war)
