They are the same color as my dear George who recently crossed the rainbow bridge. I love seeing these little sweeties and thinking of him.

I was in Edmonton for work a few weeks ago and had some down time. I decided to visit the West Edmonton Mall. That was an experience. Craziest mall I’ve ever seen but I imagine it’s really nice when it’s a frozen wasteland outside and you need something to do all day.

“This is much better than cutting their hair” as the horse is pretty obviously shaved in an Irish clip….

My brother is in the same line of work and I can’t imagine doing it. I’d never make it. It is so so tough!! Helping those kids is the only thing that gets him through it but it’s starting to get physically hard for him.

Is this a fairly small Blue Whale? I just always imagined they would look bigger in comparison to a human

I had a respiratory bug last month (in fact I’m still coughing a bit) that sounds exactly the same. But I finally saw a Dr after 10 days and was prescribed antibiotics, steroids, and a prescription cough medication that works differently than over the counter stuff. I immediately felt better by the next day. So if you haven’t already, I highly recommend you get some antibiotics. Hope you feel better soon!

I must disagree! I found the butter tastes much better and you can use the remaining buttermilk to make biscuits or pancakes! (You have to sour it or culture it first) It does spoil faster but I keep it in the fridge if I make a big batch

It’s not a justice system, it’s just a system.

This video makes me sad every time I see it. While the people are trying to do a good thing, in reality they are thinking only of their own happiness. A horse really can’t live with a prosthetic. It will always be uncomfortable and put constant stress on the other compensating limbs. It would be kinder to put it to sleep and let it be pain free. While I have seen horses buck and play in exuberance, this doesn’t look like that. It looks stressed. The horse’s gait is weird and looks uncomfortable

I’m in a blue urban area and we have the same wait times. A friend in the medical profession has told me many drs have just retired because huge medical corporations have taken over and take so much money it isn’t even worth it to stay practicing.

Ugh eggs at my local Walmart have gone up TWO DOLLARS per 18 pack since mid December. I looked today at the price… that’s one reason why I buy beautiful farm eggs from my local farmers.

If there is one fairly close I highly recommend going to Nordstrom to be fitted and get a high quality bra if you have larger boobs. A high quality well fitting bra makes a world of difference!

For my kids the presents from Santa are the more mundane and simple gifts and if they get something real special it’s from mom and dad. We do this so when they tell kids at school what Santa brought them, hopefully no child will wonder why Santa didn’t bring them something as nice. I know it’s a small thing and I’m sure lots of other kids have fancier things to say came from Santa but we try. I encourage everyone to do the same

A&w is one of my very favorites. I have to drive 45 mins to get it but it’s worth it

The behavior in the beginning is called Clacking and foals and young horses do it to other horses to say “I’m not a threat!” So cute!!

Thinking about this story gives me an immediate, visceral feeling of fear. It’s an odd feeling.

That is the horse’s registered name, which is usually a totally weird name that often has a part of the dam’s (mom’s) or sire’s name or sometimes the name of the farm where they are bred. But they usually have a “barn name” like Mr Longsnoot or Stormy or Fred or something that they are usually called.

I would NOT be able to contain myself. I would have to try to pet it.

I don’t usually get motion sickness but this movie gave it to me bad, and I watched it at home! I can’t imagine what it would’ve been like at a theatre 🤢

If you have Instagram you should check out sockpuppetmaster99. She animates the audio of drunken arrests and they are soooo funny!

I am so so sorry for your family’s loss. I know it may not feel like much from an internet stranger, but I am sending love your way. As a mom, this has always been one of my greatest fears.

That’s not particularly true. With my horses and my trainers horses, we all use training with consent practices. The science behind positive reinforcement and consent for horses is really interesting. It is taking awhile to catch on in horsemanship because the old ways of dominance based training are so ingrained. Given free choice, our horses always choose to be with us and engage.
