I use AI a lot, and this is why my AI is nothing more than a glorified proofreader. It’s Grammarly that can sort of understand nuance. AI systems make decent proofreaders and idea sounding boards (with a limited scope); they aren’t your doctor, friend, lawyer, or therapist.

I think it’s more complex than that. It is true that China receives nearly 20% of its crude from Russia as of 2024; however, China wants to expand its influence and hegemony far beyond the Pacific. Acting as a “peace keeper” in Ukraine can potentially warm relations with the European west, filling the humanitarian role the U.S. often filled. The websites were boom towns, the frontier towns were Internet forums, the crazy manifestos on angelfire were like the crazy mountain men in the Rockies. Shit was really really wild.
