Problem is, there's no way this ends well. It's too far gone. Too much damage done, too much trust broken. If we ended this today, apologized, were contrite, it's still 3-5 years of rebuilding. Still high prices. Still our allies, as much as we can even call them that anymore, no longer trusting us. And that's if we ended it right now. Which we wont, which means even longer to rebuild, even more money spent, even more relationships destroyed, even more lives lost.

One of the most depressing parts of the Trump regime is the indisputable fact, the money and capability were always there to build the transitional housing for our unhoused brothers and sisters.
