I'd ditch the blind trusts. Instead, the ONLY investment vehicles an elected or appointed official can still own when they take office should be government bonds, be they federal, state or municipal. Anything else has to be sold off and cannot be purchased until 6 months after they leave.

As others noted, the first bit is a real Folgers ad that had some accidental creepy vibes, then the rest was added on as a parody. My understanding is that the sister's part was written for a MUCH younger actress, and when they switched to the older teen, they kept the dialogye unchanged, and thus things that would just be cute by a 6-y/o, like the bow, become weirdly intimate with them so close in age.

It was sealed at both parents request, but just to avoid the scandal. Jack Ryan then CLAIMED it was to protect their child, but the implication he made was that the sealed records were about the kid. So then Ryan was humiliated when the truth came out. Also, while Ryan was doing better than his successor on the GOP senate ticket, he was, in fact, slightly behind Obama in a lot of polls at the time. Oh, and the modern GOP has set the corruption bar so high that even Rahm is just a blip.
I suspect this was a typical con job, where the scammer implies the wire is stolen (maybe diverted from a larger shipment). It's a cash deal and they just drive off into the sunset after getting paid. Unlikely the victims even have a fake name to go off of.
One thing: There's more dislike for Putin and his policies among the general population than it seems like. However, citizens are scared, very scared, to speak up, and just protesting won't accomplish much. To any of my fellow Americans who want to call this cowardice, I ask, "How many ICE holding facilities did you burn down today?" Ots very easy to be outside the situation and talk about a downtrodden populace and what they "should" do about it.
Also, per Canon, they have no history of mass slavery. Trump would not want to abide by that.
