I wish the movie was about an hour longer so it had a slower pace. Just like every book to movie adaptation leaves out detail. *Spoiler* The thing that I never see discussed is how Grace was a disgraced researcher that left to teach middle school because he wrote a paper how life doesn't need water. Astrophage needed water even on the sun and everyone laughed at Grace a 2nd time. Then he meets Rocky who proves his hypothesis but that detail seems glossed over.
