I write books! Mostly Cozy Fantasy and LitRPG. An Imgur OG. www.alexkarne.com
Thank you! It's a little nod to my favorite author, Terry Pratchett.
It's a genre of fantasy with lower stakes and cozy themes. Often things are resolved without violence. I'd define the genre as "An overall bias towards niceness, and positive outcomes, while maintaining a light tone."
It does!
I suppose I could. I don't know how interested people would be. But it might be helpful to people looking to get their writing out there.
No, if you want one of those you have to order from Temu.
Indeed it was!
Next step, find some place to post it. Royal Road is where I went, I did it as a serial.
All in good time. It's coming.
15+ adults can enjoy it, teenagers can enjoy it. Basically the same age group as Terry Pratchett books.
Mango Media. They do Dead Tired, Beneath the Dragon Eye Moons, Ultimate Level 1. Good people.
Tsuu. They did the art for Syl and Beware of Chicken.
I think we could all use some cozy and low stakes right now.
I started out writing a serial on Royal Road, a publisher noticed my story was doing well. I then queried other pubs, saying that I wanted to explore my options. Now I have three book deals and feel a bit like I faked till I made it a bit too hard.
There will be a physical copy and an audiobook as well. With duet narration, and they did a really good job with it.
It is also free if you have Kindle Unlimited. Which is usually the vast majority of new author sales.
The pre-order went up today. So if anyone likes Cozy Fantasy, give it a read. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DTGFR768
You know, I kinda doubt I will break that 500k. But hey, I write full-time now, so, that's cool!
Challenge accepted!
Yep, and as a consequence of the assault weapon's ban making the AR's less appealing a lot of folks up that way got into extreme long range shooting with big honking rifles like 338's and up. Plus the hunting terrain favors longer distance shots. Then around 08' everyone got into AR's or got really into making their own guns.
Oh hey! Glad to see you! It's been a while since I was last here but I have fond memories of you from the old days. Glad to see you are doing well! Anything cool I can redeem these nearly half a million fake internet points for?
Oh wow I just read your user name and I get it now. I'll do better in the future.
The shameless self promotion or the attack on Ukraine? Or both?
And considering she's from Jalisco, MX it's not even accurate.
Only two. Oh yeah and she stabbed some people.
In CA because of covid and a few other things they're basically releasing everyone on bail and bail is either free or low.
Husband cheated and it escalated. She's not 100% in the wrong because the side chick was trying to contact her daughter.
Hubby cheated, side chick texted her and also was trying to contact her kid, so understandable. Apparently things escalated.
No, seeing as she might have attempted to keep it.
Nomative Determination?
The sad thing is... my exes are crazier. I've just learned my lesson to stay away.
