I want to avoid this becoming a debate between crypto bros and others. This is NOT ABOUT CRYPTO.

this is worse than regular crypto aka bitcoin. You can use bitcoin to buy stuff. This is memecoin literally zero value.

All crypto is a scam

Seems like Elon is giving Trump pointers on how to become untouchable rich through Crypto. Elon exploded into becoming the richest person in the world by pumping and dumping DOGE coin

Thats how the ripple guy got rich. Cant believe anyone took him seriously

Sure would be a shame if someone started hacking digital wallets....

Hey look its the ultra wealthy making themselves rich with all our money

"Legitimate" crypto. Sure.

That's why I'm trying to sell drugs, invest in gold, and bury it. One day I wish to steal from Ron Swanson "I don't know how much money I have, but I know how many pounds of money I have"

"Terrible look for crypto" - or uh, just another day ending in 'y' for crypto.

Showing once again that crypto is mostly for suckers and criminals.

Crypto is weird, b/c it's like having a "FED" that's open source and ran by the people and their popular sentiment. It provides a currency, but each crypto has a limited supply. So, as the demand for the currency grows, they have have other cryptos become a new currency. They can have bitcoins for big purchase and smaller "nickel/dime" currencies. And the public votes on which currencies will grow and which die. But, it's also very darwinistic and prone to manipulation.

Commodity Speculation in the past required an actual, tangible commodity. You buy a bunch of pig futures, you are buying a specific set of butchered pigs. Now we've made imaginary commodities.

It's an old trick, far predates crypto. I saw this trick to become an instant millionaire decades ago: 1) create a company and issue 100,000 shares of stock; 2) sell one of them to your buddy for $10; 3) with this established market price, your remaining 99,999 shares are worth $999,990; 4) along with the $10 your friend paid you, you are now worth a million dollars!

i.e fraud, something Trump is well versed in.

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Bullish for WHAT INDUSTRY DIPSHIT? It s a fucking meme coin, it's not tied to ANYTHING besides the nebulous idea of "this crypto is Trump". Like all crypto it's just a speculation bubble masquerading as a stock, but it's not backed by anything at all and doesn't even function as a currency.

OTOH, if I buy a bunch, it will surely crash, and he'll "lose" billions.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is how he accepts bribes from the russians in broad daylight, the rest of the people are just morons being suckered.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At least Trump coin is well named: It's literally the coin to buy Trump...

Crypto is a scam. It always has been a scam. It always will be a scam.

Ok, sometimes criminals use bitcoin for legitimate.... crime

"They worked so hard for years to show purpose and legitimacy". ........ hahahahahahahahahaha

Cyrpto is so funny to me "hey look at my very expensive collectable number, its worth 100 thousand dollars" "Why?" "Because someone will pay that much for it" "Why?" ".. you just don't understand"

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's really nothing new.... He's been selling overpriced merch that gets shipped overseas for years. I mean, do we really think there are that many people in Saudi Arabia who want to buy his shit? Of course not. He sells random crap for grossly inflated prices and it's "legit profit", not a "bribe" 'cause some sort of physical goods changed hands. The crypto just saves some shipping costs.

They don't have to pretend to stay at his hotel to bribe him 20 grand at a time, they can just drop $100 million in untraceable dollars right into his account

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is much, much different. It’s so much worse. SO much worse. This is essentially a way to use his office to get billions. It’s extreme, blatant corruption

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is bigger than that. It's a direct pipeline of untraceable money straight to the president.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

So, another flagrant conflict of interest he'll never be expected or demanded to walk away from.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good ol’ crypto doing exactly what everyone except dipshit techbros expects of it, which is to say, being a grift for rich numpties to skirt tax laws, and in this case, bribery laws, because it’s an unregulated grey market.

Gee a criminal committing crimes. Who could have seen that?

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The new $TRUMP meme coins should be known as "Strumpettes"

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is why in normal times presidents are "supposed" to divest themselves of their corporate interests, rather than "forced at gunpoint" to divest themselves of their corporate interests.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It has nothing to do with modern times. This has been blatantly illegal for 232 years. It's in the original text of the COTUS before there were even amendments.

I think you misread my comment.

Trump just caused a crash before he even is sworn in, he couldn't wait. 69$ to 43$ in little as 5 minute. https://www.livecoinwatch.com/price/OFFICIALTRUMP-_______________________________TRUMP

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yup. And the people who bought into it are losing their minds because they thought they’d be in on the scam.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still has a market cap of $7B, more money than Trump has ever seen. And it's something useless that anyone can set up in 5 mins.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

legitimacy? in crypto? bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. its all a scam you stupid fuckboy.

"Sick of people calling everything in crypto a Ponzi scheme. Some crypto projects are pump and dump schemes, while others are pyramid schemes. Others are just standard issue fraud. Others are just middlemen skimming of the top. Stop glossing over the diversity in the industry."

1 year ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 4

Right up until the moment someone exchanges goods or services for it. Then what's different about it?

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 7

All crypto can be used to buy things the same way all goods can be traded, but they’re worthless as a currency because they fail to act as a store of value.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes yes, I've heard it all before "These are all scam coins, except for MY scam coin!"

1 year ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 5

disclosure, they may all be scam coins hence never bought any. But, I am prudent and fair when I say Bitcoin is different than a memecoin. I am stating facts while NOT pushing any coin

1 year ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

There are a limited amount if Bitcoins. Trump could just create more $trump and cash in.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1
