What is a Palestinian State? Erase Israel? Remove Israels authority over Gaza? Usurp Israeli authority over the borders of current Israel and step into redraw borders? Who is to say what Palestine is? Plus we have a credible commitment problem. Neither the PLO or Israel have been able to uphold prior commitments to agreements. It seems to me that the UN has no real say or authority over this, and this PM is just virtue-signaling.
