People out here thinking the TPUSA "halftime show" is what "country music" is... huge bummer.
Stadium country music sucks. I implore you, give good country a chance. Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, Hayes Carll, anything coming out of East Nashville.
#1 I will forever be an ardent defender of TLJ. This meme makes it seem like it was an overnight transformation. Personally I'd love to seen this story get fleshed out. Instead the petulant man-baby's had their way and we got Rise of Skywalker - which had cool scenes, but was a mess narratively.

Spinal Tap, Princess Bride, A Few Good Men... all good, but Stand By Me will forever be in my constantly rotating top five movies of all time. Few movies have captured the "coming-of-age" moniker of young American boys better than that movie.

The Pinesap guy was amazing. I mean, there are A LOT of right answers to "Do you condemn the Nazis?", but God bless him, he found a wrong one.
-I'm not sure what gov of NY could do, but as a collective left-leaning force, the biggest gain and the most transformative would be to push for rehauling our health care system. THAT is the single biggest expense that families have that simply don't fit within a capitalist system. Supply & demand doesn't apply when one's health and well-being is the commodity. Instead of cheap shit like this, just keep the damn state running.
-Corporate CEOs make too much as a general rule of thumb, I think we agree on that, but attacking them on this front is only hurting the communities. Hate Walmart, Costco, Kroger, whatever all you want, they provide jobs. Grocery stores are a mature market, with profit margins closely in line with each other. I think it's bold and an extremely stupid risk for the government to step into it for what could be (as already discussed) a tiny benefit.
You insinuated it, but maybe I'm being too sensitive, okay.-Taking away the need to make profit as a private or publicly traded grocery store chain would need to have would indeed lower costs, but how much do you expect this to save? Grocery store margins are razor thin, would a 3-4% drop in prices make up for the fact that other grocery stores (who now couldn't compete) would inevitably have to leave the area? NOW we're getting food desserts in areas that previously didn't have them.
Common (but lame) tactic. "Why don't you want poor people to eat? Hey, this guy's a greedy capitalist pig!"No, I'm not a comic book villain, I don't want people to starve. Luckily, especially in New York, virtually nobody is starving. Food insecurity != starvation, and there's nothing that shows government-owned stores would come anywhere close to solving that. Look - I hope he wins as an "FU" to establishment Ds, and as a way to maybe shift the window back to the left, but holy shit some of his ideas are dogshit, and should have been given up on after his angsty teenage years.
