I agree, but I think the point is that laws allow us to punish those who break them. They're not really going to prevent the crime.

It's better if we just focus on mental health in our society.And in that case,I'm all for a psych exam or something when purchasing firearms
Ah, I agree. But then we get into a whole messy thing about what the 2nd amendment defines as the "arms" we are allowed to bear.
As a 19 year old owner of an AR-15 rifle. I just like going to the range with my cousins and having a good time. Why do we have to ban that?
I understand that many people may not understand firearm's culture, but that doesn't mean there isn't value or merit in it's existence.(1/2
