They get fearful and will try to kick away, but can end up breaking their backs from kicking too hard if not held properly.

I am going through similar situation, too. Lots of nightmares... but we are tough. Be strong!

As the parent of 2 italian greyhounds, my heart goes out to you, @op. I’m so sorry for the loss of your babies. Best dogs out there.

I would offer as well, but I do not have chat available. Thank you for being kind enough to be a resort to those needing support!

Hope some of this is helpful. important to catch it early, and get her to eat as soon as you can, something soft (mine likes beef baby food)

Her colitis with following with Hemorrhagic gastroenteritis seems to be stress related so I try to keep her environment calm and routined

I also give her prebiotic and probiotic powder in her food every meal. And a mix some Hills biome food in her food too, since she likes it

Famotidine, to be exact. Just 10mg every night. That helps keep her stomach acid low and prevents the start of her diarrhea.

Low fat is good while she’s recovering, but doesn’t make much of a difference long term. I give mine an antacid with her dinner every day

IG owner here with repeated HemG. I’ve learned to manage it. Lmk if I can be of any help. I know how awful, smelly, and scary it can be!

Soft rubs are okay, but every case is different. They still need love, too! Just gentle love!
