I know what you mean, but Jesus actually was a woke liberal. The people who think he wasn't are the Christian Nationalists trying to take over so they can do all the anti-christian stuff

For context: in 2024 approximately half of women who bothered to vote voted to do all these things to women

You took the term for direct genetic modification via CRISPR and pretended it meant all changes to genotypes by whatever method. This is a disingenuous argument used to avoid the conversation, not a gotcha. It is basic propaganda and you should feel ashamed for spreading it.

Genetic engineering technology has only existed for a couple decades. You might as well say "we've been driving cars for centuries upon centuries"

You're the sucker if you think that argument is anything but an attempt to avoid the question by redefining "GMO". New technology should prove its safety. Pretending the term for the new technology means it's really the old technology makes you look like you don't understand how words work.

>sigh< GMO =/= evolution. GMO =/= selective breeding. To equate the two is like saying "of course teleportation is safe. People have been walking for tens of thousands of years". Maybe it is as safe and maybe it isn't but pretending they're the same thing makes you look either stupid or evil.

They're too dumb to think of racism on their own. Their oligarch masters told the talking heads at FOX to use racism and all the little MAGAS became racist. They told them to be mad about trans people and suddenly, out of nothing, there was a trans panic. They told them Israel was the good guys and the Russians are the good guys and suddenly decades of Russia being the bad guys and centuries of antisemitism are just -poof- ... gone!

No body believed that stuff. Everyone knew it was just talking points to muddy the waters. "Ha ha", said MAGA, "He's throwing all the stuff they accuse him of back in their faces. Fuck the libs!"

Well, maybe the Epstein files. Some of them appear troubled that he's all over them. But Republicans always start wars, take away social services to give money to rich people, and make everything more expensive.

Why would they hide it? They own the White House, the majority of both houses of congress, most of the Supreme Court, the Justice Department, the "Department of War", and they have their own terrorist army in ICE.
They have kids using LLMs instead of their own brains the way Facebook had people talking to eachother for free in the 00s, before they started selling ads. The first baggie of crack is free, then when they own you you'll sell your own plasma for another hit.

yes, but you see the really bad parts of the Epstein files is kind of all that's left to release. If his base dwells on what a horrible person he is, and sees how degenerate the nation's owners are, they might not keep voting for Republicans in a few months here. Then comes impeachments that result in removal from office and the sentencing for his convicted felonies comes due. He keeps us distracted or risks dying in prison.

Oh, they're being manipulated alright. Remember that study where people were paid to not watch FOX "news" for several weeks and they got less and less maga as time went on? Being complicit doesn't mean they aren't being manipulated. If I remember right, most of them went back to FOX after the study ended. Being manipulated doesn't mean they aren't complicit.

Ageist propaganda is an attempt by the owning class to divide us. Every generation has comparable levels of far-right suckers

If corporations are people enough to be allowed to buy politicians, they're people enough to face murder charges when their products kill people.

The question is less one of "which vaguely defined system should we whole-heartedly embrace?" and more "who should be allowed to live comfortably off the fruits of capital alone." If your democratic society says something other than "everyone or no one", it might not be a democratic society.

Ron Wyden is one of the great rebuttals to people who argue term limits and/or age limits for congress would solve anything. He's old, he's been a senator for ever, and he's always fighting the good fight on our behalf.

we could try arresting them for the crimes they've committed. Ideally, crimes committed by law enforcement should carry double the penalty, but not rewarding cops for being criminals would be a start.
