I think we’re talking about different areas of framing on this stair set.
Thank you!
I do my best to reply! Cheers from Michigan!
I’ll post in the morning ??
10.5” tread 7 5/8s rise. About 34 degree angle ??
Actually no haha, but clients wanted to move forward with it so here we are!
What’s a stand-off?
I used a whole box of 5” grks
I walked up and down them plenty of times they’re fine
The blocking on both outer ends will never be stepped on, and if they are they have the added support of the deck board.
Decking calls for 9-10” centers minimum, and picture frame treads new the blocking for miters to rest on and attach to.
G tape applied on the bottom of stringers
The post framing+ stringer blocking took me 4 hours myself. I sleep at night very well knowing my work will not receive call backs
I disagree completely. An extra half day and $175 in materials is a no brainer, if you want a wobbly, squeaky, messy deck, then go for it!
Thank you ??
Both please!
Lol, you’re the kind of homeowner I stay away from. I usually end up making less because I go overboard to ensure a fantastic result
That’s smart. Homeowners are very aware to be nowhere near it, but I didn’t think of people doing things on purpose. Thanks!
It’s actually the minimum requirement for the deck boards I used ??
Nahh
Lmao, sorry Carle I can’t help myself. First time working this township and I want to start on a good foot with the township!
It’s Azek composite decking, requires 9-10” centers. 3 would definitely not work
They are exterior coated, they won’t corrode for a very long time
Thank you much!
Do you think posts attached to slab with post/Crete hardware is safe to do?
I had figured it would be totally firm but there is a tiny bit of bounce if I jump on it, I’m going to add center 4x4s so it’s totally solid
Hell yeah. Thank you!
Thanks for the support ??
