Yeah I can’t figure out what 35-40 is either.

I was certain it was AI music. But looking into it, nope, it’s human-produced generic slop.

Anybody else notice the guy on the right is done up to look exactly like the couch fucker? Same haircut, facial hair, suit…

There’s a 120db loudspeaker that I could wire to my camera system. My thought is should they ever knock on my door, I could have it blast something obnoxious, like that sound from Dumb and Dumber.

Actually, when I was trying to solve this problem, the Mistral API **DOES** have separate fields for input. You can give it separate system, user, assistant, and tool messages.

Well that was far more aggressive than I was expecting.

For decades programmers have been taught never to trust the user. Sanitize your inputs, or Bobby Tables will strike. Somehow AI bros haven’t figured this out.

I tried using Mistral for something, couldn’t figure out how to properly prevent this kind of attack, and was essentially laughed at by support. Was literally asked “why would you want to do that?”

BECAUSE IT’S COMPUTER SCIENCE 101 YOU FUCKING DOORKNOB!

They couldn’t give me a solution.

I wanted a proper ending...

Are you sure? So somebody has wished that all human kidneys fell out and regrew every 5 years?

Same, but I’ll also drop to 10 below the limit if your high beams are on.

I was pricing out an upgrade. I put 64GB in my PCs and do actually use it. Cheapest 64GB (2x32) kit I could find was $800 USD. Most were over $1000.

Yeah I think I’ll wait longer.

I can’t help but think there’s a more graceful way to jump a fence than landing on your shoulder 3 times in 10 seconds.

Well no. AI is really good at classifying stuff. Give it a bunch of images that you have described to it, and it’ll learn the patterns. It can identify a hot dog because you’ve trained it what a hot dog looks like. But it takes millions or billions of data points, all properly described, to train a model.

Generative AI reverses the process. From a high level (I’m glossing over many details) it just creates random noise until that previous model says the noise matches your request.

Yes, they do. We call it artificial intelligence, which makes people think it is thinking.

Sure, but just to be fair, I imagine they'd start with the guy with the gun.

There's a non-zero chance she paid to have him assassinated. Probably a good deal greater than 0, actually.

To be fair, cypto didn't fuck the gaming industry, idiot executives chasing the next big thing out of fear of being the next Blackberry fucked the gaming industry. Crypto was just the fad they were chasing. We're seeing the same thing in other industries now as everybody is chasing AI out of fear of being left behind. The key difference is the iPhone is something people wanted. NFTs and AI are not.

I gave up on that channel ages ago. No reason to get invested in any show, they cancel everything.

In 7 Days to Die, I can put over 100 jeeps in the cargo area of my jeep.

Or even more fun, 30 jeeps in the basket of my bicycle.

I'll admit I'm probably missing a detail, but doesn't the double lock prevent the cuff from rotating all the way through? So it would be set when the cuffs go on, but you don't push that pin as part of unlocking. Turn one direction to unlock that, then the opposite direction to actually unlock the cuffs. Right?

Generally speaking, it’s the right thing to do. You don’t want a bunch of parents in the mix making the situation more chaotic. *However*, nobody else was doing anything, so procedure kind of goes out the window at that point.

Ug. Ok you're missing my point.

No I get that part. The original comment says 9 people + 1 nazi = 10 nazis. Makes sense. The one I’m replying to says 2 people + nazis = 10 nazis. I don’t get that one.

I suppose maybe the comment is suggesting that 1 of the 2 is already a nazi, and 2 in binary is 10.
