A PS5 pro offers a lot of performance for the price. An equivalent gaming PC would be way more expensive so it kind of is cost effective for someone only caring about gaming.The Switch 2 is like PS4 levels of performance, a good refresh but not super impressive. Especially as you can buy a Steam Deck where you can just play the games you already own in your Steam library so have basically no cost for games. Also some switch emulators were arguably better than playing on the switch anyway.
