I did too in 2016. Your life will never be the same. But it doesnt mean it has to be for the worst. Listen to your body, get the technical aid and the handicapped parking pass. If your neurologist does not listen to you, get a new one. You know what's best for you. Sending lots of love.
You can also talk to a pharmacist, they are the meds experts and can help.
I reckon the intention is good and I always thank people when they do offer help, but I know what's best for me.
There's a risk of injury. I have MS and sometime can't use stairs at all. My feet just won't lift. People have offered to carry me upstairs in restaurants and I just leave because : A) if we both fall, there's two of us injured and I'd feel guilty af B) you don't know how to safely do transfers unless you're trained C) i don't want people (especially if it's not my S/O groping me D) it's humiliating E) it is the owner's responsibility to offer reasonable accomodation if they want my business
Solution is going to the ER should cost you the same as in Canada: 0$. Ok there's parking fees and a few snacks also, but that's pretty much it. You should be able to focus on recovering.

It is.
Also I usually go to stores that have mobility scooter which you can't bring outside. So at the cash, I have to transfer in a cart.
Sometimes, a nice person offers to bring it back for me which is always a huge help.
Of course not. If I dont have the energy I usually put them near the entrance or on the sidewalk near a wall so it does not roll away.
Tell me you dont understand disability without telling me you dont... It's about fatigue. The energy is fucking limited. Fuck your judgment
That much I would not need my handicapped parking pass. I do try to bring them back but some days I am not able. Don't judge you never know
Except I'm handicapped and they always put the place to bring them back to freaking far from the handicapped parking spots. If I could walk
Plus ça* change
