VT Hiking, climbing, lifting, engineer, nerd, outgoing. Get at me.

It's alder wood. Cedar is really only used in North America. For a sauna you want to to a soft clear wood since the soft wood doesn't hold as much heat so you can sit on it without burning your butt. Cedar is also 4-5x the cost of other types of wood!

I just did a bunch of research, used /r sauna, sauna times, and Trumpkin’s Notes. It's basically an insulated shed with a reflective vapor barrier inside. Nothing too complicated!
Around 15k, stove and paneling/bench material were 4k and 5k respectively, so some money could have definitely been saved there had I chosen cheaper options.

That's on the list for future improvements when it's not winter here! A cold plunge tank and front porch will be added as well!

Reverse sear is the way to go! I finish stove top in a cast iron. More control! Oh and a thermometer is key to a good steak!

Sounds like the gym just wasn't the right fit. Some have a great learning culture, some push you to hard. Always work at your own pace!

Just read a book or watch a show with headphones on! They don't expect you to interact, although some artists prefer it.

Nope. Just a figure 8 follow through. You have to clip on to one made with a bight.
