Time to pack it in. A little under £40 a week is now too much for me to continue, and while that's not the best reason to stop I reckon its just as valid as any. This'll be my third time trying to quit, and they say third time's the charm, right? Wish me luck, Imgur. Also words of encouragement are gladly welcomed.

Good luck, if you've found a way to start quitting, it's allredy a win

Come to the realization that you dont want to die in a bed with family surrounding you while you grasp for air, one thing taken for granted

Start welbutrin or one of the other meds. It helps.

That's like 4 tasty burritos. Do it and spoil yourself with that money as encouragement. ?

Get a timer (or use google's countdown timer https://www.google.com/search?q=timer ) and before you have a cigarette, run it for 5 minutes.

Quit all nicotine, sweat it out in sauna/hot showers. Drink hot beverages when cravings are bad, concentrate on inhaling steam before sips.

Smoke a few puffs then put it out. Pull that stinky butt out of the pack later and smoke more of it. Realize its nasty, you can do it.

@OP the only thing that helped me was a vape, smoked for 25 years, never touched one for 3 years now

Similarly I used dip to quit smoking. Took it only when the cravings were bad. Been quit for over 10 years now.
