Most prefer the taste and don't care. But what if you're a single mom working 14 hour shifts 6 days a week?
I'm not arguing whether it's a choice or not, I'm simply saying that the basis of this isn't appropriate because situations differ.
But why make burgers that'll cost you about $10-$15 for something that will be a tad healthier when you can get a McDouble for a dollar!
Fruits and veggies are cheap but go bad too quickly and did you notice how the higher the fat content the cheaper the beef?
Or how about getting those heart healthy fish oils that we need? Do I pay $15 for salmon or $6 for pills?
If I don't then there goes the money down the toilet.
I switched the way I eat about 2 years ago. The difference is in buying something that's going to last through the Texas humidity and rot.
When garbage is cheaper than good food and people are trying to make it on minimum wage then it's fairly easy to understand what's happening
