I would just say customs generally, I guess? (although I've never gone through customs flying into and out of Belfast)

I'm clarifying that I wouldn't say it "any time" I flew in, just if it came up. I do and would means I'm from Belfast and would refer to>

I don't mean that every time I fly I announce to the world "I am flying to BELFAST, IRELAND and will be searched by IRISH CUSTOMS AGENTS"

If I fly into Belfast I'd say I'm flying to Ireland. If I was comparing the TSA to our own security I would refer to them as Irish.

I don't mean it that literally.

I do, and would...

I've a totally different experience! I'm from Belfast and live in England and would always refer to going home as flying back to Ireland.

If you're in Belfast, you're in Northern Ireland. If you're in Dublin you're in the Republic of Ireland. In both cases, you're in Ireland.

And "in" can refer to geographical rather than political boundaries just fine e.g "I'm in the alps", "he's in the everglades" etc.

The Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland are both countries (or a country & a constituent country to be exact) on the island of Ireland.

If you're in Belfast, you're in Ireland. If you're in Dublin, you're in Ireland. Just different parts.

No, mate. Ireland is an Island. The Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland are the countries that exist on that island (of Ireland).

The US and ROK conduct yearly naval exercises off the coast of NK. Implying the tension is solely a result of NK's weapons is just wrong.

How are they a threat to world peace, exactly? How many countries have they invaded?

I said policy, not policies, and was referring to their shelter kill policy.

This seems to be an incomplete sentence with a question mark at the end rather than a question

If you count all the stray animals whose births they prevent by operating with their policy, no, they don't

that's not hypocritical, that's them carrying out their plainly stated (and sensible) policy.

Bin Laden wasn't Taliban, or in a cave. And in any case, I'd take the "porn stash" story with a grain of salt.

Yep, US education, healthcare, and military spending seems to revolve around massive giveaways to private companies. Run that shit directly.

A Punjabi friend of mine once got mailed an anonymous threat telling him & his family to go back to India. It had a pic of Pocahontas on it.
