This is the unfortunate other side of the spectrum, where any criticism of the show gets labeled as prejudiced. Jodie was a great doctor, but her writers were bad, and the messaging was overt to the point of not being good tv.
I'm 100% ok with women in combat (and firefighting) roles, provided they pass the same fitness requirements men have. I might be out of date, but the last I remember, there was an effort for a gender-neutral fitness test, but it was fought and ultimately scrapped.I'm also 100% ok with a relaxed fitness requirement for desk jobs in the military, but that's a different conversation.
Mass is likely not in the camp of 'can do it safely'. In your hypothetical, they're being paid a living wage AND getting tips? Because that wouldnt happen, their tips would plummet to near-zero. Whereas currently, most tipped employees I know currently do better than Living wage + 0 tips.

Anecdotally, the people I know most vigorously opposed to illegal immigration are the ones who came here the right way.

Kansas passed a law to try and solve the 'trans girls in girls sports' issue, which is complex and hasnt had a good solution that I've seen. It's being reduced to 'republicans want to inspect kids genitals' because that gets clicks, ignoring the fact that kids have already been getting physicals for sports for decades.
