It’s not an incredibly exciting place. I’ve been past it on a ship, and some researchers went to it. There’s some garbage but mostly bare.

These are called erratics! They were deposited by huge ice sheets usually around 12,000 years ago (if in N. America at least)

Where I am (Calgary, Canada) the schools are always open in bad weather since parents need it to take care of kids during work time.
