First time I’d ever seen one go like that.
For any looseness or movement while it was on jack stands when I changed the oil. There was no noise or vibrations when driving either 2/2
I had an alignment done a few weeks ago and asked them to check my ball joints and everything and they said it was good, I also checked 1/2
If I hadn’t taken the side road it could have happened on the freeway where there was a lot more people and a lot more speed involved
I work at a body shop and once I replace the parts I’ll be taking it to our alignment shop we use and having them do a once over on it

The tire while it was on jack stands and I was changing the oil. It all felt solid 2/2
The alignment shop said they were fine a few weeks ago. And there was no noise or vibration or and weird looseness when I tried to move 1/2
Still quite a bit of meat to the wear bars but was planning on getting new ones in the spring after taxes lol but I’ll be getting them now

It wasn’t fried. It was a ball joint failure
That’s the game plan for the other side
Ball joint is not a fail safe type so the control arm dropped to the ground and the spindle got pulled out and under the vehicle
Had there been a weird noise or vibration I would have been concerned I try to replace parts before catastrophic failures like this.
