When I lived in Oregon, they did that. They'd mow in the rain. Can't put off mowing for 3 months so it dries out! :)

Like every other site, Imgur doesn't individually vet advertisers. They use networks, like what Google provides. Not much Imgur can do.

DO NOT use the same browser for banking and "less scrupulous" stuff. Ex: Keep IE for banking & use Opera for The Pirate Bay.
