Too bad men in America don’t get paid maternity leave. Divide the year off between men and women and let men bond with the kids too. I atleast loved the time off from march to august this year to raise my youngest son. his mom had her leave before me…

Looks a lot like Nykurhylsfoss (Sveinsstekksfoss), Photo taken from close to or behind the fence. It’s on the south east coast where i guess there are fewer tourists

Dont blame the electric busses for school cuts. They are cheaper to operate. Here in Oslo we have all electric busses, and the companies operating them reports that over a ten year period they are cheaper than diesel overal (more expensive to but, but cheaper to operate and maintain)

India is at a 2.05 birthrate, and its trending down like in most countries. N 50 years they too will sondrer how to tale care of their sting population, just like the rest of us are.

Do you have any sources on the turbinens? I thought these are rigid foil sails that operate pretty much as sails on a sailboat do, giving trust in pretty much all directions eaxcept headwind dead on. Other emission reducing sails are fletner rotors. Good for 5+-% reduced fuel consumption. they are round and spin, not lang and flat like these and their gains cant be stored.

Being ble to watch a movie without switching tapes was the reason VHS won. Who wants to switch tapes every hour when you can choose the other option and watch the whole movie in one go.

Private jets should only be allowed if they are electric. That would get some speed in electrification of aviation and would benefit us all

I’ve been there too. The backdrop of this video looks a bit off, but the feeling is captured pretty well

Yeah, they were nonlocking and worn out when I did the climb. One of my carabeeners didn’t fully close on its own …

No, they are using upper body harnesses.

They are using upper body harnesses. Quicker to get on and off, but I’m not convinced of their belaying properties, Even if I’ve been there and done that climb.

You are wrong. They are using upper body harness which are basically two loops connected in the middel back and by a carabiner inn the front. From the front there hare two via ferrata slings. Source: i’ve been there. The neck stuff is something else entirely, I’m guessing a scout scarf.
