I'm interested in learning new things.

This would be tier 0 and immediately banned into oblivion.

Hey man good talk! Goodnight!

We are wicked enough without Satan having to tempt us. You don't have to teach a baby to lie. They figure that one out on their own!

Yes, that's exactly right. Everyone except Jesus needs forgiveness. We don't specifically choose Satan, more like we choose ourselves. (1)

Because I could not do option 1. I was too late for option 1, because I'm not perfect. So I get forgiveness.

Haha you aren't understanding what I was trying to say. You can either be perfect your whole life, or get forgiveness. I opted for option 2

I have received grace and mercy from God through Jesus, and it's not too late for you too my friend.

It's a gift from God, you can have it if you want it, and it's free. I meant it's too late for me in that I've already sinned and need grace

Jesus is God's son, who willingly lived a perfect life and then died even though he didn't deserve it. He took the punishment we deserve (1)

Not all of his creation has the distinction of being his "children." He owes you nothing. God either gives justice or mercy, never injustice

We are not like him in every way, you are correct there. We are like him in that we have an idea of good and evil, moral absolutes. (1)

Sure, God already knows the outcome, but that's his business. It's a better outcome for you if you repent and believe though.

Why try? Because God commands us to either 1. Be perfect and never sin (too late for me) or 2. Have faith in Christ and receive mercy.

Because he loves himself more, and he HATES sin. God will not allow sin to go unpunished, but he loves us which is why Jesus came. (1)

Precisely because we are made in his image. If we had no capacity to choose good and evil, then we would not have been images of God

Would not have been meaningful unless he gave us a moral choice to act upon. Hence, Satan, the alternative choice. God gave us a choice

Capable of moral decisions. Every other creature is driven by instinct only, we have the ability to appreciate good and evil. This

Well, God is the only being who has the right to give and take life away. He created us, he has that right. And he made us like him (1)

Our benefit as well. If he made us to love him, then we are at our best and happiest when we are doing just that.

God loves us because he made us. He paid a VERY high price in order to restore relationship with us, and the love he has for us is to (2)

You do realize that according to the Bible, God made us in his image right? In fact, that's why God is against murder (Genesis 9:6). (1)

He gets glory. Satan will ultimately give glory to God, and Satan helps us understand more his hatred for sin.

When we appreciate his creation, he gets glory, when we receive his gift of grace, he gets glory, when we fear in awe of his judgements,

His nature. He receives glory for all of his attributes. Love, justice, mercy, wrath, power, majesty, all of these things.

Need us, and he is perfectly satisfied in himself or else he would not be perfect, right? So what is his purpose in creation? To actuate (3)

Of God throughout history? Was he lonely? Bored? Had a burst of inspiration? We know that he is Triune, so he was not lonely. He doesn't (2)

Here's where we have to get into a bit of philosophy. The question ultimately is, why did God make anything at all? What is the purpose (1)

Don't take my word for it man, just make a serious attempt to compare the different texts.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You will find that the other two books are false, but that every word of the Bible holds true. Much too long of a point to put here but (2)

Fair question. Compare the three books. Look at the claims that the they make. Are they internally consistent? Externally consistent? (1)
