Even if something is 100% made in usa from usa materials, there is only so much production for usa raw materials, so companies switching from import materials to domestic increases demand, the companies who were already using domestic have more competition when buying domestic, more demand than supply means price increase.
didnt read the article but im assuming they did this before trump officially announced tariffs last week and they flew them in based on the rumors
