no one is defending the US. o'brien's "joke" comes from a superiority standpoint. your whataboutism comment adds nothing

When Iran bombed the israeli embassy AND a israeli welfare agency in Argentina in 1992 and 1994, was it also revenge against leadership?

It's worrying how imgur is all "enemy of my enemy" right now. People that support Ukraine also supports the regime sells drones to Russia.

why do you downvote me? do you not want fentanyl widely available? Legalization is all or nothing.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 9

wow, look at the politician right here, LYING with numbers. twisting the meaning of words to win an argument

Legalize ALL the drugs. ALL of them. okay? ALL. I want to see fentanyl WIDELY AVAILABLE for anyone who wishes to consume it to have it.

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 14

really? So I can fly into switzerland with 1 kilo of cocaine in my checked bag?

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

this. the people pushing for legalization are just delusional. It's not "weed". Harder drugs won't go away and people won't "drug healthier"

i think they mean that the wall isn't dividing anything, just providing depth for the tv. behind this fake wall there is concrete

when i become a dad i won't say anything but there will be signs.

Yes. It's exactly like that. In Argentina, we have the problem that the national government is in Buenos Aires where it's temperate. So, many houses don't have AC. They still see it as a luxury. But they have. In the north, we don't have heating, but we use AC. These people, who think AC is a luxury, decide that electricity should not be subsidized ("just open a window if you're hot!"), but gas for heating should be heavily subsidized. "Because people might die of cold".

My original comment was about germans in general who think "AC is wasteful". Some are so thick, they even visit tropical countries and still think AC is a waste (strange, for so many people "AC is a waste" but "heating your house in the winter" is not?)

An AC is not necessary because you live in a temperate climate, not because of any other factor. I live in a place where 40C in summer is normal. No matter how I face my house or how thick i build the walls, if it's 40C during the day and doesn't go below 30C during the night, it's going to be horrible without AC.

if they're german they probably refuse to have AC at home sooo

you're omitting a key part of the studies either by ignorance or malice. MOST child abuse happens within the family with the father or uncles being by far the most. also, the last time i read about the figures you're quoting, they were exaggerated news articles and not the actual source. the exaggeration is that they didn't use the word "sexual" abuse but just plain abuse, to pump the number, by mixing all abuse types (sexual, physical, verbal, psychological, etc)

A teacher went to the bathroom and found an older boy (like 7th grade or so) in a stall with a first grade girl. Her reaction was to slap the boy and run with the girl. She got in trouble for that but the girl's dad was in politics or military or something and she was let off the hook. If it was a "normal person" the teacher would probably be in jail now.

a kid threw chalk at another kid, hit her in the eye. teacher tried to help and wash the eye while the ambulance came. parents trying to sue.

in Argentina, lawyers have ruined this. Teachers can't touch the children. If in kindergarden and the child needs to go to the bathroom the protocol used to be "two teachers" to check on each other. Nowadays for safety, teachers will just call the parent to come and wipe the child. It's just too risky to wipe the child and get detained because the kid said at home "the teacher touched my butt". If an older kid gets hurt, the protocol is to call ambulance and not try to help the child. CYA.

so we're going to ban new zealand flags in america or prevent mercosur representatives?

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

yes but an european is going to see this and start bitching that "their house is older than your entire country"

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 5

extra: in spanish we say "sombrilla" (umbra = sombra in spanish). we also say "paraguas" (para = stops, agua = water). there is also "parasol" but depending on the country it means more "the cardboard thing you put on your car dash", or also, a structure, usually metal, outside a building to stop the sun.

umbrella = from italian umbra "shade", and -ella (feminine diminutive). literally: "shadette".

parasol = para (stops) sol (sun)

love the downvotes of all of the anglos, LOL

this. so much this. Europe has been more than happy to align with the US to keep their first-world status. And UK, Canada, Australia don't get any sympathy from me. they're happy to be "brothers in arms".

it's like 3D movies a decade ago. remember when every movie was coming out in 3D and TVs came with 3D glasses? and literally no one wanted that.
