I guess as long as you're consistant throughout your libs it would be fine. I live in the node world though and all style guides use similar
I personally prefer mono-spaced fonts (I use Hack on github), using 2 spaces for indentation instead of a full tab
For best readability it's optimal to use lines that are around 70-80 characters. This becomes harder when tabs have 4 spaces instead of 2
