Very nice, keep up the good work. Also create your own site (ex:behance.net) and absorb as much of others work as possible, best way to grow

This makes me think of Honey I Shrunk The Kids. Would make a fun virtual reality
Maybe for extreme contrast? It helps draw the eye to the flowers as a focal pt, but I get what you're saying, not consistent stylistically
I like the idea but isn't the logo on there twice? Like on both sides?
