It's pretty good at coding - at creating source code to do certain tasks. What it sucks at, still, is design and debugging and problem solving. If your goal is trivial, it's fine. If your goal is complex, it'll go off the rails pretty quickly. A good developer watching and correcting and driving the process is greatly aided - but very much not replaced.
